These wings will really hit the spot if you’ve been craving chicken wings, and are too far from your next meal to hold out. The pecan flavor comes from the smoking process, not from actual pecans. That way you’ll get a hint of pecan in every bite, without having to worry about crunchy pieces stuck to the chicken. The cool thing about this recipe is that it makes everything from scratch, so you don’t have to resort to getting things out of a bottle. Our suggestion is to make a big batch and store the rest since this isn’t exactly fast food.
The dressing steals the show on this salad, but you don’t want to overlook the roasted pumpkin. Pumpkin is an often overlooked vegetable that only gets popular in the fall, but is full of vitamins, minerals, and fiber that makes it a healthy part of any meal all year long. Roasting it softens it up properly so it is pleasing to the tooth, and the dressing that accompanies it on this recipe is pretty special. The peculiar thing is that it’s very simple, consisting of just five ingredients: olive oil, orange juice, herbs, and salt and pepper. Be sure to use sea salt and not refined salt.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has made these without eggs? They sound great but I am allergic to egg yolks. I was thinking of substituting sweet potato purée as that was recommended as an egg substitute for baking on another site, but wasn’t sure how that would work in a flourless recipe sweetened with bananas. I want to keep it as close to the original as I can with my allergies! We love sweetening things with bananas…any thoughts?
This recipe does its best to replicate the chocolate Hostess brand donuts, but in a way that gets rid of the lousy ingredients and replaces them with wholesome ones. They contain wonderful things like medjool dates, eggs, and coconut flour, rather than what you’ll find in a package of Hostess donettes. The main ingredient in those is sugar, followed by partially hydrogenated vegetable oil which provides trans fat, and wheat flour. Not a good snack to get into the habit of eating, but these replicas won’t set you back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0CG_84_7s8
Heat a griddle or cast iron skillet (or any other nonstick surface on which you like to make pancakes) over medium heat. Lightly grease your griddle surface with additional coconut oil. Pour the pancake batter about 1/4 cup at a time into rounds. Allow to cook until the edges of the pancakes are set (when they’re set, they’ll lose their shine), about 1 minute. With a wide, thin spatula, turn each pancake over and allow to finish cooking on the other side (about another 30 seconds). Remove the pancakes from the griddle, and repeat with the remaining batter.
This recipe is using grass-fed ricotta cheese stuffed into strawberries, which are then wrapped in proscuitto. The ricotta cheese will be an issue for those strictly following the no dairy rule, while others may choose to give it a pass because it comes from grass-fed cows. Many food items on Paleo fall into a gray area, and it is up to the individual to decide how far they want to take it, and how their body processes these types of foods. You end up getting a meaty, fruity, cheesy mouthful, which is sure to make a great snack or appetizer for a party.

I’ve tried making paleo pancakes before with okay results, but this recipe is fantastic! These pancakes taste and look like white-flour pancakes. But I was missing that extra buttery taste from the pancake, so next time, I’ll melt about a tablespoon of ghee and add it to the batter as well as add an extra 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, because I love insanely buttery, thick pancakes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5b1YEsmGb1I
If you’ve been missing dairy after giving it up, then So Delicious’ dairy-free yogurt alternatives made with coconut milk are for you. The unsweetened vanilla doesn’t contain any added sugar so mix in some berries and chia seeds for added sweetness and texture. Just note that the yogurt alternatives are made with brown rice so if you’re strict paleo or on a Whole30, these aren’t for you.
They’ve taken the approach of using meat to replace the crust of the pizza, which cuts out the grains and makes this one meaty pizza pie. The crust is made from Italian sausage, so it’s going to be massively flavorful, and a little spicey. They recommend using a sugar-free pizza sauce, which on Paleo you don’t want to eat any refined sugar, so this is a good recommendation to follow. They’ve made sure to include a bunch of vegetables in this “meatizza” so you are still going to get your nutritional needs met, in addition to all of that meat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KQgyfPixmw
This recipe idea came from her, she has a staple chicken salad recipe that she makes weekly, and we get really creative with 100 million ways we can eat it. After finding these completely Paleo wraps, we decided to stuff them with her chicken salad. It was deeelicious. I love all different kinds of chicken salad. I actually have another Chicken Salad Recipe on my blog, which is a bit more complicated. This one that I’ll share today is much easier and perfect to make each week.
So about the recipe… You have to buy the Paleo wraps online or if you’re from my area (Mandeville, Louisiana), my friend at Vive sells them. I’m not always a huge fan of buying Paleo products, but 1) these are only made of coconut, so they’re super healthy and 2) these are SO good and will give you so many new options for lunch. After you buy the wraps, make the chicken salad and use a Paleo mayo recipe. Do not get lazy about the Paleo mayo and buy store-bought; the Paleo mayo is much better. Mayo can be tough if you don’t follow directions. Happy lunch-making! Share with me in the comments your opinion on this recipe.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkpOPq3GER8
Stuffed burgers are all the rage, and you can get into the craze with the Paleo diet, you just have to stuff the burger with Paleo friendly foods. In this recipe they’ve used an avocado as the stuffing, which gives these burgers potassium and healthy fat they wouldn’t otherwise have. They are grass-fed ground beef for the burger meat, which you’ll want to get into the habit of buying since it is closer to the natural way cows would eat. They’ve also managed to sneak in some sun-dried tomatoes, so you’ll be getting additional nutrition from those. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0XBm3SqTPE
Pancakes are a mainstay breakfast meal. But is a pancake without having to use flour even possible? Well, tell you what, the paleo pancake recipe is the answer to your question. Yes! We can make pancakes out of paleo based ingredients. All you need to get are ripe bananas, eggs, and a heaping of almond butter.  And here is how we do it in 3 simple steps.
Another awesome trick: Let the batter chill overnight. It just may be the best way to achieve the fluffiest of fluff, and it doesn’t hurt the flavor either. This recipe boasts more ingredients than most, but is the closest to old-fashioned gluten-full pancakes, if that’s what you’re aiming for. Cook on super-low heat and top with coconut whipped cream—and maybe a flower or two.
I only used one banana, one egg, and scraped the bottom of my natural almond butter, a dash of cinnamon, and they were great. I would make the full size if I was feeding my husband too but I just wanted to say that if you want to make just enough for yourself it still works great. I maybe had about 3-4 tbsps of almond butter but I’m not sure. I would definitely make these again, they taste just like banana nut bread to me. Yum! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye-LAMIU_vo

I wanted to cook the rest of the batter, but didn’t really want to attend to the stove, so I experimented and threw a few in the oven on a buttered cookie sheet at 350. The batter ended up spreading into one thin megapancake, which was sad until I realized that I basically have crepe makings. I’m going to fill them with something delicious for tomorrow’s breakfast.

This Japanese beef dish uses bamboo as one of the vegetables. Trying new things is part of the Paleo process, and if you’ve never had bamboo shoots now is a good time to start. They are full of potassium and vitamins and taste good, especially with beef. There are also other vegetables like green beans and spinach to balance out the beef, and his preparation is easy to follow so you can make this just like he did. You can usually find bamboo shoots in the International section of a grocery store, of you may need to visit an Asian food mart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3L3Q1GuDkE

Ah breakfast, the meal that seems to be defined by eggs and pancakes and one we always seem to skip. I am guilty as charged for skipping breakfast or keeping it defined to the few basics. One of my most valuable lesson since starting to eat Paleo, is knowing that I can have anything I want for breakfast and it's ok. Today though, I choose these perfect paleo pancakes.

As discussed in my article questioning nut consumption on a Paleo diet, macadamia nuts are probably the healthiest nuts available because of their high monounsaturated and low polyunsaturated fat content as well as their low levels of anti-nutrients. They can thus be enjoyed without guilt. This hummus recipe is great with anything where you would normally use regular hummus or Baba Ghanoush.
I have 9 Paleo snack recipes when you’re on the go so you can stay on track with minimal effort. These are good ideas for work, snacks at home, children’s snacks, and vacations. Sometimes eating on the Paleo diet can be kind of hard. Especially when you are traveling or always on the go. And extra EXTRA hard if you are traveling with kids AND doing the paleo diet. Whew! I’m tired just thinking of it.
Hard-boiled eggs are a simple and easy snack. They require minimal preparation and you can easily boil a dozen at a time to have on hand as a grab-and-go snack.  While you can couple your eggs with a piece of fruit, some leftover protein, or a cold baked sweet potato for a carbohydrate source, over time the thought of eating another hard-boiled egg may turn your stomach.  If you are looking some delicious variations in the egg department, these suggestions are worth consideration:
Paleo pancakes are genius. Fluffy, delicious, low-carb stacks of joy. We’ll take 100. But they can actually be quite bland and the epitome of a #PinterestFail. Recipes claiming to be fluffy are often flat, gluten-free flours (if not used correctly) can taste eerily like cardboard, and the pancakes can be so doggone hard to flip that you end up with an inedible pile of melted banana. We’ll actually take zero.
I think granola bars are pretty healthy so my kids and I eat them for snacks all the time. They aren’t just for breakfast anymore. These granola bars come together quickly and are so easy to make. Chopping the nuts is the most time-consuming part and you probably know that isn’t very hard. You can use whatever nuts you like or have on hand. You can forget the chocolate if you’d like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdVlCoQFzIs
I’ve tried many paleo recipes for pancakes, mostly using bananas. While I love bananas, I use them so much that sometimes I want something else. These pancakes are incredible! I didn’t have tapioca flour, so I used arrowroot as others suggested. I made them with blueberries last night for dinner, and they tasted and looked like REAL pancakes. I saved the leftover batter and made some for breakfast and the batter held up fine overnight in the fridge. Not only are they delish, but they are very easy to turn over in the pan (unlike other paleo recipes). I don’t need to look any further for a great pancake recipe….this is it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwP8C9wjYaY
Kale chips make a great snack because they don’t contain anything that’s unhealthy for you. In this recipe she’s simply using curly kale and olive oil, so you are getting all of the benefits of kale, without any hydrogenated oils or industrial grade salt. You won’t believe how crispy and crunchy kale gets when you bake it until you try it. And since it is loaded with fiber, and has respectable amounts of potassium, with Vitamin A and Vitamin C levels that are off the charts, this is one of the healthiest snacks around. It’s also low in calories and fat, and the olive oil only adds healthy fat to the equation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0U1qQM2vV_E
A trip to Brazil is just minutes away when you let this stew simmer. It’s loaded up with flavor thanks to citrus fruits, cayenne peppers, and fish sauce. There’s also a combination of white fish and shrimp, so you’re getting some good quality protein to make this a meal. And let’s not forget the veggies, which include tomatoes and onions, made all the more delicious by the seasonings and spices. The perfect dish to make when you want seafood but don’t want to turn on the oven.

These spicy chicken tenders are grilled up so you will be getting lots of that delicious grilled flavor, as well as plenty of spice. They are using sriracha, one of the trendiest hot sauces that goes good with anything. You can also use your own preferred hot sauce, if sriracha is not to your liking. They are have added yellow mustard to the hot sauce, to give it a more dynamic taste, and you’ll be getting sweetness from either raw honey or maple syrup, whichever one you choose to go with. She’s garnished it with cilantro, but also mentions that you can use parsley or basil, whichever suits your taste better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=po3If8ARqDQ
Hey Amanda, I’d love to try this as well. I’m not sure if they will freeze well, but I don’t see why not. I think freezing the chicken salad would be smarter, and taking that out on a Sunday and just packing those up for the week and storing in the fridge may be better. The wraps probably don’t freeze well. But for most of my once a month cooking, it always requires a bit of assembling the week of! Does that make sense? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwAEwx87vqQ

Eggplants are Paleo friendly for most, but store-bought baba ghanoush can still contain loads of hidden mayo—and that can mean unwanted vegetable oils. Go for a simple, mayo-free recipe with lots of garlic and a squeeze of lemon juice for a fresher take that won’t weigh you down. Try pairing this dip with some Paleo-friendly homemade rosemary sesame crackers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9NO6pVv7sY
