Mer. Lol. Mine didnt turn out :(. And one thing I habe to say is 350° doesnt help me when it comes to cooking ON the stove. I dont have a temperature for the flame. Only high medium and low. So I heated it to medium but it didnt seem to be hot enough (each stove is different) so I heated it a little hotter than medium and followed the directions. They flipped fine because I used a nonstick skillet. But they came out mushy. I even cooked them 4 minutes on each side which you only said 2-3 minutes on each side. Iused sesame seed butter but it is similar to almond so I figured itd be fine. Not sure that the nut butter is the issue. I tried turning down the burner as well. Nothing worked. Still mushy. Making these for the first time right now! I was so excited to get them in the pan I forgot the cinnamon. Just finished up my first Whole30 and made these as a celebratory Day 31 dinner. Both my husband and I were amazed how great they were. They were a little tricky to flip but I got the hang of it after awhile. They are extremely filling and really don’t require any topping because they are moist and plenty sweet with the bananas. I think they were actually twice as good when eating left overs the following morning. I’m considering making a few batches and freezing them for easy quick breakfasts!

Anytime you keep things simple you’ll be keeping them Paleo. Think about it: early man didn’t complicate things because they couldn’t complicate things. They had to use what was around them, whatever that would have been. They also didn’t have well-equipped kitchens like we have, so their cooking style would have been rudimentary, yet effective. This tomato soup only adds a few different items plus some seasonings to fresh, ripe tomatoes so it’s going to really pop in your mouth, and the tomato flavor will be front and center. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has made these without eggs? They sound great but I am allergic to egg yolks. I was thinking of substituting sweet potato purée as that was recommended as an egg substitute for baking on another site, but wasn’t sure how that would work in a flourless recipe sweetened with bananas. In this recipe they’ve used an avocado as the stuffing, which gives these burgers potassium and healthy fat they wouldn’t otherwise have. They are grass-fed ground beef for the burger meat, which you’ll want to get into the habit of buying since it is closer to the natural way cows would eat. Hey, great recipe and site!! FYI, The Paleo Kitchen cookbook has a mayo recipe that is SOOOO much easier…you take 3/4 cut oil of your choice, 1 egg, lemon juice(1 tsp I think), and 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard, place them in a tall, narrow container, and use an immersion blender! Start at the bottom and move the blender upward as the ingredients emulsify. I had quit making my own mayo because the other way was SO time consuming and mine never seemed to come out right, but this version is pretty fool-proof! I use grapeseed oil because the olive oil is a bit bitter for me.
Larabar is another bar made from simple ingredients but also higher in the sugar department. That’s because the sugar is the all-natural kind from dates. The other ingredients are just as simple: almonds, unsweetened apples, walnuts, raisins, and cinnamon—super clean and also incredibly tasty. I feel like my family kind of walks the paleo line once in a while- but only because it is conveniently gluten free 100% of the time! These apple chips are baked, not fried, so you’re already coming out on top compared to eating a bag of potato chips. Since you won’t be eating potatoes on Paleo it’s good to come up with a better alternative. These apple chips will have a sweetness to them, satisfying both your crunchy cravings as well as your sweet tooth. The best part is they only use two ingredients, apples and cinnamon, so there’s never any doubt as to whether these are healthy or not. Paleo isn’t very fruit centric, but you should be having at least one serving of fruit per day, and this can be it.
I just made these for my 3 kids and they gobbled them up! I added chocolate chips and made the pancakes about 2 inches in diameter. They were a bit difficult to flip and turned brown quickly, but they still tasted great. We did use a little maple syrup but didn’t use nearly as much as we have with regular pancake mix. I loved that this is a high-nutrient, kid-friendly breakfast. Do you have any suggestions for subbing the coconut flour with a different (nut-free) flour? My daughter could taste the coconut so I’d like to try a different flour next time.
Move over, Doritos; there’s a new ranch chip in town and it’s actually healthy for you. These kale chips are seasoned with zesty ranch flavor from dill, garlic, and lemon juice. Plus, they’re made with only clean ingredients, unlike Doritos (hello, MSG!). Although these chips do list sugar on the ingredients panel, it only comes in at 3 grams per 1-ounce serving.
These chips are made from parsnips, and most new Paleo followers will probably have a very limited experience with the parsnip. It does find its way into a lot of Paleo cooking because it can be used in many different ways. Don’t knock it till you try it, because they tend to take on the surrounding flavors, in this case yummy maple syrup and coconut oil. So while you may have ignored parsnips a thousand times before, maybe it’s time to give them a chance. I realize that this is the silliest question and maybe it relates to the mushy question someone else had. I've used both stainless steel and cast iron pans. great and easy technique for “roasted” chicken. I will say there were no pan juices, just fat in the skillet. Will add to the recipe rotation. Good for family and company dinners too.
