These are delicious! I didn’t have any coconut flour so I used 1/4 of all plant protein powder and they turned out great. I did separate the egg whites and beat them separately. I couldn’t believe how light and fluffy they were, although they were pretty delicate and wanted to fall apart. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has made these without eggs? They sound great but I am allergic to egg yolks. I was thinking of substituting sweet potato purée as that was recommended as an egg substitute for baking on another site, but wasn’t sure how that would work in a flourless recipe sweetened with bananas. Of course, snacking is completely optional on a Paleo diet. In fact, many people end up naturally eating only two meals per day, but it doesn’t mean that snacking is a bad idea, especially if the snack only contains healthy ingredients and prevents you from indulging with bad foods. They can also be great when on the go or as something to eat post workout. Just remember that your snacks should respect the basic principles of Paleo. This means that most fruits and nuts should be consumed only in moderation. Most fruits are high in the sugar fructose, which is toxic in higher doses and most nuts are high in polyunsaturated fat (PUFA), especially the omega-6 PUFA. These pancakes are great, just like all of your recipes. One thing I noticed though is that there isn’t enough acid in the recipe to neutralize the baking soda. This is probably why so many people have a soapy baking soda aftertaste. A lot of people don’t seem to realize that when you are using baking soda The recipe has to have an acidic ingredient like lemon juice, vinegar, buttermilk, molasses or chocolate in it. I used baking powder instead and it turned out great.

Hi I am back! I just thought I’d share this with you. I am pre-diabetic. This morning, I was intent on making your pancakes, and I did, shared with my sons. I did not check my blood sugar before, but I thought I’d check it around two hours after. (It’s been 2-1/2 hrs, I believe). I still am full (ate 6 of them pancakes topped with butter and real maple syrup). I expected to see around 110++ because of the bananas, nuts, and maple syrup. Guess what? 99!!! and I am still full. Thread are amazing! Thank you! I sauteed the bananas a little bit in some Kerry’s butter, some sea salt, and cinnamon to bring out the sweetness a little. The bananas weren’t very ripe. I used cashew butter. . The batter was really thick so I added one more egg. We’ve been Paleo-ish the past couple of years but with another baby due any day, I’ve been thrilled to find your blog and cookbooks. Sometimes I don’t have the money to keep almond flour on hand and my homemade version doesn’t have the lovely crumb bc it’s not as fine. My 3YO sometimes wants what her older siblings are having. We all tolerate rice flour well and your recipes have been awesome. I think it’s also because you aren’t shy about advising us to use a scale rather than volume measurements. Shepherd’s pie is a popular dish in the UK, but not so much in the States. It’s a shame because it’s very delicious, but it is also made with a lot of ingredients that aren’t necessarily Paleo if it’s made the traditional way. Salsa is generally something that you can have on Paleo, you’ll just want to check the ingredients list to make sure that they haven’t added anything that’s not allowed. These were great Libby.Seeing I’m on sugar free September I was craving carbs as my go to sweet thing, 85v% chocolate, is off limits as it too has a little suagr in it from memory.. The half a banana in my portion I shared with my husband won’t hurt. Had Greek Yoghurt and strawberries with them and am full and satisfied. I make chicken salad almost weekly…I will have to try them in the wraps soon!!! Just a tip I am so thankful to have discovered. Paleo mayo becomes 30 secs in the making and SUPER EASY if you have an immersion blender! It was well worth my $15!! Just put all the ingredients you listed including the oil in a large mouth pint and a half mason jar put the blender to the bottom and blend! There is a video online somewhere. It is the original recipe I found and that blogger took a video of making it. A real time saver!!
