These are delicious! I didn’t have any coconut flour so I used 1/4 of all plant protein powder and they turned out great. I did separate the egg whites and beat them separately. I've used both stainless steel and cast iron pans. great and easy technique for “roasted” chicken. I will say there were no pan juices, just fat in the skillet. Will add to the recipe rotation. Good for family and company dinners too. I've done this using a rimmed sheet pan instead of a skillet and put veggies and potatoes around the chicken for a one-pan meal. Broccoli gets nicely browned and yummy!

I only used one banana, one egg, and scraped the bottom of my natural almond butter, a dash of cinnamon, and they were great. I would make the full size if I was feeding my husband too but I just wanted to say that if you want to make just enough for yourself it still works great. My FAVOURITE paleo pancake recipe ever! During a paleo challenge in September last year, a very similar recipe was posted on our group page. They were delicious and they have become a common weekend breakfast for me. In fact, I was having them so often, I had to force myself to have a break from them! FYI, The Paleo Kitchen cookbook has a mayo recipe that is SOOOO much easier…you take 3/4 cut oil of your choice, 1 egg, lemon juice(1 tsp I think), and 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard, place them in a tall, narrow container, and use an immersion blender! Start at the bottom and move the blender upward as the ingredients emulsify. I had quit making my own mayo because the other way was SO time consuming and mine never seemed to come out right, but this version is pretty fool-proof! I use grapeseed oil because the olive oil is a bit bitter for me.

Although not all of these are strict paleo (some contain coconut sugar and other paleo-friendly sweeteners), they are free from refined sugars, dairy, and grains. This cod gets dusted with ginger powder, as well as salt and pepper to keep things very simple, but very delicious. As you see it’s served next to a salad made from zucchini which has been spiralized into ribbons, and gets steamed to keep it very healthy. The whole lot is then covered with a blend of vinegar, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil, so it’s not too dry and is full of flavor. The cod and zucchini go together very well, making this a light meal you can use as a lunch, or dinner.

These night be my favorite paleo pancakes I have tried, they don’t taste soggy, or of eggs which has been the case with many other recipes! I started with whole almonds in my vitamix then added the rest it worked out just fine. I cooked them in my cast iron skillet without a problem I think the trick is not to tuch them until it is time to turn them over. Thanks for the recipe!
Hi I am back! I just thought I’d share this with you. I am pre-diabetic. This morning, I was intent on making your pancakes, and I did, shared with my sons. I did not check my blood sugar before, but I thought I’d check it around two hours after. (It’s been 2-1/2 hrs, I believe). I still am full (ate 6 of them pancakes topped with butter and real maple syrup). I expected to see around 110++ because of the bananas, nuts, and maple syrup. Guess what? 99!!! and I am still full. These gummy orange slices are really great because they don’t use any sugar, but they come out just like a piece of gummy candy, with natural orange flavoring throughout. Gelatin is something that you can definitely have while on the Paleo diet, and they’re making full use of it here. Of course real oranges account for the orange taste, which is a recurring theme with Paleo, it uses natural and basic ingredients to accomplish its flavor goals.You’ll have to decide for yourself if you want to use the food coloring to make this look orange, and if so how orange you want it to be. Paleo purists wouldn’t use any food coloring.
These tiny tacos are served up on jicama shells. The rest of the ingredients are placed in the slow cooker until the meat is just right. That means you can pop it in a few hours before the big game, and serve them up when everyone has arrived. They are billed as being great sports food, because they are smaller than a traditional taco, so they’re mini sized and good for serving. Well I didn’t have any egg whites on hand so I went forward with sweet potato purée and to my surprise they were great! My husband who is not full time on the paleo diet and remembers “regular” pancakes agreed with me heartily when I said “it’s amazing how pancake like these are.” Our toddlers are allergic to cinnamon so we used allspice and nutmeg. 1/4C of sweet potato purée per egg. I have to admit the toddlers were not sold on them until we added raisins in our latest batch, but I think they’re asserting independence more than expressing true opinions haha. They loved them with raisins! Oh, I also added a bit of flax meal. I might try them again with egg whites or some egg whites some sweet potatoes (thanks Jody!) just because ours were not as filling as others have mentioned them being. We also followed the commenter below by baking them at 400F for 10-12 minutes rather than using a pan. Anyway I know I made a lot of modifications but thanks George for the great basic recipe! They are easy and convenient and I don’t miss the old kind of pancakes one bit when I’m eating them!
