I make chicken salad almost weekly…I will have to try them in the wraps soon!!! Just a tip I am so thankful to have discovered. Paleo mayo becomes 30 secs in the making and SUPER EASY if you have an immersion blender! It was well worth my $15!! Just put all the ingredients you listed including the oil in a large mouth pint and a half mason jar put the blender to the bottom and blend! There is a video online somewhere. It is the original recipe I found and that blogger took a video of making it. A real time saver!!
Get the taste of Thailand in a turkey burger so you can cut out a lot of the fat that comes with beef. On Paleo you want to mix up the type of meat you’re eating, and turkey makes a great choice. It will still give you protein and a savory flavor, and can be a nice respite from beef. In this burger they have red chilli and ginger being used to try to capture some of the Thai flavor, and they’ve served it open-faced on slice of Paleo bread. In this recipe they are coating a snapper fillet with sesame seeds, so you will get the delicate texture of the fish juxtaposed with the crunchy sesame seeds, all fried up in grass fed butter. The frying makes sure that the sesame seeds have a nice toasted flavor, and they point out that if you don’t have grass fed butter you can also use ghee or bacon fat to fry the fish in. FYI, The Paleo Kitchen cookbook has a mayo recipe that is SOOOO much easier…you take 3/4 cut oil of your choice, 1 egg, lemon juice(1 tsp I think), and 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard, place them in a tall, narrow container, and use an immersion blender! Start at the bottom and move the blender upward as the ingredients emulsify. I had quit making my own mayo because the other way was SO time consuming and mine never seemed to come out right, but this version is pretty fool-proof! Yes, I did it right. Only 3 ingredients. Are you like some people and just pass up plantains in the grocery store? I used to be like that. I didn’t even know what they were. They looked weird and terrible. I don’t think like that anymore since I’ve gotten to know them. You can either choose them when they are on the yellow side or the green color side. The only difference is that the yellow ones are riper and therefore sweeter. The green ones are less ripe and won’t taste as sweet. That choice is just up to your preference. The yellow ones are a little harder to work with because they are more sticky. I do recommend green but you should experiment and have fun. Ah breakfast, the meal that seems to be defined by eggs and pancakes and one we always seem to skip. I am guilty as charged for skipping breakfast or keeping it defined to the few basics. One of my most valuable lesson since starting to eat Paleo, is knowing that I can have anything I want for breakfast and it's ok. Today though, I choose these perfect paleo pancakes.
These veggie roll ups are great to make ahead of time, and it’s a good idea to plan snacks into your day, rather than waiting until you get hungry and then frantically making something. Cucumber acts as the roll, and a tomato is the prize inside. Cashews act as a nice filling to help hold it all together, once they get blended up into a sort of paste. Olive oil, garlic, sea salt and basil are all Paleo goodies, so you can feel totally fine by having this as a snack anytime you get hungry and it’s not time for a full meal.

Made them today, with a few changes. I used about 1/2 cup pumpkin for the bananas, added a little maple syrup, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice. Used my ebelskiver pan (love that thing) and put some apple butter in the middle of some of them. YUM! And yes, it’s 80 degrees out here, but pumpkin is my weakness. Your pumpkin butter is next on my list to try.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this paleo pancake recipe. My toddler’s diet had to be altered for health reasons and pancakes are one of her favourite breakfast items. One other thing to note here is that I pre-make some of these ingredients, which takes time, but at least it’s not taking time in the middle of the day when I’m trying to work or rush out the door. Also, I don’t mind eating food cold. I know a lot of people can’t stomach the idea of eating cold meat, although that really confuses me because Subway makes billions of dollars every year selling cold meat. Well I didn’t have any egg whites on hand so I went forward with sweet potato purée and to my surprise they were great! My husband who is not full time on the paleo diet and remembers “regular” pancakes agreed with me heartily when I said “it’s amazing how pancake like these are.” Our toddlers are allergic to cinnamon so we used allspice and nutmeg. 1/4C of sweet potato purée per egg. I have to admit the toddlers were not sold on them until we added raisins in our latest batch, but I think they’re asserting independence more than expressing true opinions haha. They loved them with raisins! Oh, I also added a bit of flax meal. I might try them again with egg whites or some egg whites some sweet potatoes (thanks Jody!) just because ours were not as filling as others have mentioned them being. We also followed the commenter below by baking them at 400F for 10-12 minutes rather than using a pan. Anyway I know I made a lot of modifications but thanks George for the great basic recipe! They are easy and convenient and I don’t miss the old kind of pancakes one bit when I’m eating them!

One way to avoid eating potatoes as a snack is to replace a popular snack like potato chips with a healthier version. Using zucchini in place of the potatoes is a great idea, and gives you added nutrition. Zucchini makes a great choice to make into a chip because all it requires is some slicing and you have nice round pieces ready to be made into chips. They are easy to make, and the recipe is versatile in how it lets you dust them with whatever seasonings you like. This means you could make them BBQ Zucchini chips, or Ranch Zucchini chips, just by adding different seasonings. Just be sure to check the label on the seasoning packet to see if it’s Paleo.
Hey Gabrielle.. the whole world is confusing when it comes to people telling us what’s right/ what’s not right and what’s healthy/ what’s not healthy. Your better off basing your diet on how your body feels after eating something (tired, bloated, sinus problems, how you feel emotionally, great or satisfied etc) Your body tells you awesome stuff about the things you eat if you pay attention to it.
This recipe idea came from her, she has a staple chicken salad recipe that she makes weekly, and we get really creative with 100 million ways we can eat it. After finding these completely Paleo wraps, we decided to stuff them with her chicken salad. It was deeelicious. I love all different kinds of chicken salad. I actually have another Chicken Salad Recipe on my blog, which is a bit more complicated. This one that I’ll share today is much easier and perfect to make each week. 
John, wasn't it just amazing chicken? So much better than your typical oven baked chicken and on par if not better than gas or even charcoal grilled. It gets that smokey charcoal tasted and overnight koshering definitely helps, something I do when time permits. First-time I've pierced a whole chicken minus the times I make jerk chicken on the grill. Yup, the cast iron was not an issue.
the flavor of these is amazing!!!!!! But… the consistency created a big issue.. they were so thin that i kept burning them/not cooking the middle all the way through. I flipped too early or too late.. it was kind of a mess in my kitchen this morning. Half way through I added almond flour to try and thicken them up.. no dice! I am so, so, so, so, so, so excited about this recipe!!! The hubs and I love to have pancakes on Saturday mornings, but they really can blow your entire day if you are a calorie counter and aren’t careful. The added flours are just so calorie rich! I don’t necessarily follow one specific diet, but I have been trying really hard to cut out processed foods and the Paleo guidelines fit really well with that. Plus you get to eat *MEAT* which I could never, ever, ever live without. I’ve been making a lot of vegan pancakes which are definitely healthier than a standard pancake batter…until I ran across the Paleo pancakes. I *love* that pancakes are actually possible without flours! I had absolutely no idea, and I’m thrilled to try out this recipe. I love your blog, I love your writing, and I love your drive!
