Unless a package of beef jerky says it’s Paleo, it’s best to make it on your own, and this recipe will walk you through the process. She’s come up with the perfect blend of spices and the right method for how to get the meat just right. You won’t want to go back to store bought jerky once you make a batch of this. You get to do quality control, choosing lean cuts of sirloin to make it. Then add the spices and seasoning like garlic powder and onion powder. Red wine even makes an appearance, and you’ll be happily surprised at the finished product.
Seriously. Your recipes keep me up at night. Or maybe it’s the thought of you…in my kitchen….making your recipes that keeps me up. Nevermind my personal fantasies, haha. These were great! Made them today, with a few changes. I used about 1/2 cup pumpkin for the bananas, added a little maple syrup, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice. Used my ebelskiver pan (love that thing) and put some apple butter in the middle of some of them. YUM! And yes, it’s 80 degrees out here, but pumpkin is my weakness. Your pumpkin butter is next on my list to try. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maSjPJb4rbQ
Welcome to my kitchen! I am Neli Howard and the food blogger behind Delicious Meets Healthy. I started Delicious Meets Healthy in 2014 while working in public accounting. While everything I did at work was very analytical and detail oriented, I have enjoyed cooking because I get to use my creativity and experiment with flavors and textures of different foods.
Cookie bars are like cookies, but they’re thicker and have more of the good stuff per square inch because of their size and shape. That means you’re getting the cookie experience you’re craving, but in a handy bar form that will leave you more satisfied. These bars are in the style of chocolate chip, quite possibly the most popular cookie choice in America. The only thing is you won’t want to dunk these in a glass of cow’s milk, but you can feel free to have almond milk with them, and they actually contain almond milk as well.

The main ingredient in traditional pancakes is wheat flour. Since that’s a no-no on the Paleo diet, this recipe uses coconut flour. But you’ll notice that it’s only a little bit of coconut flour – two and a half teaspoons, to be exact – which, if you’ve ever made traditional pancakes will seem like a strangely small amount of flour. But here’s the secret… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=og2X4Tb6LdE

I love how simple and easy your recipes are to make! They are delicious and healthy! I was a total hit the moms and kids when I brought in the sweet potato ginger brownies. They were in shock when I told them what they are made out of. I’m sure you have a few more followings after sending them your recipe link. Thank you so much for this website! You definatly deserve the Homies award!!
These pizza bites don’t need a crust because they’re resting on a slice of uncured pepperoni or salami. This makes them a snack that you can make in a jiffy, because you don’t have to wait around for the crust to bake. It also helps give them a big pizza taste, even if you opt out of the optional organic mozzarella cheese. The sauce is the real kicker here, and it’s made using organic tomato sauce and the necessary ingredients to make it taste like a pizza. Drop a black olive slice right in the middle and these pizza bites are ready to consumption.

You’ll be happy to learn that you can have Thai curry on the Paleo diet, as long as you follow a recipe that’s been adjusted accordingly. This may not follow the traditional recipe exactly, but all of the distinct flavors are there, thanks to the use of full-fat coconut milk. They’ve used plenty of chicken, and have included an assortment of vegetables like zucchini, carrots, mushrooms, and asparagus. There’s even kale thrown in for even more nutrients. Really as long as you’ve got the curry paste and the coconut milk you’re well on your way to a successful replication.
DIY roasted nuts are easier than you’d think—all you need is a bag of mixed nuts, an egg white, and go-to spices: sea salt, pepper, rosemary, sage, garlic powder, and paprika. Coat the nuts in the egg white in one bowl, and mix all the spices in another. Pour the spice mix over the nuts, transfer to a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper, and roast for 16 minutes.
I love you and your recipes better than all.the other paleo recipe sites! These pancakes are delicious, even though mine weren’t as beautiful as yours! They still tasted great. I must need a better pan as you suggested! You have the best, simple paleo recipes. I love your 2 ingredient roti and naan bread so much! They make the sting of going gluten free bearable! I do wish you’d develop a bread that I could slice for a sandwich, toast for breakfast and even eat by itself! Other than that, I just dont need any other cookbooks besides yours! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yjGDjjk7OA
I used a heaping spoonful of crunchy peanut butter and a small banana (about half a normal banana) with an egg and cinnamon. I mashed it up with a spoon in a bowl and put it on a heated nonstick pan with butter on it. I used a small, thin pan over the lowest setting on the smallest gas burner we have. No problems with burning, sticking, or flipping here. They were dense, thin, and tasted like fried peanut butter! My picky non-paleo man seemed to enjoy them with his nutella. They started breaking apart when I added some shredded coconut. I think I’ll add more egg or egg white next time or maybe some baking powder to make them fluffier. Possibly baking would be better. Very good recipe, since it’s hard for me to get a recipe to turn out well. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJKiugjwKlw

FYI Scott Madden the Paleo diet is really just a general blueprint and most people just do the best that they can–some also just eat according to what they can handle or need and still consider it “paleo.” There are also many different options when it comes to protein powder (many people use pea, hemp etc) and not all of them contain wheat, soy, casein or whey. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtEubaJ30n0
Pancakes are a mainstay breakfast meal. But is a pancake without having to use flour even possible? Well, tell you what, the paleo pancake recipe is the answer to your question. Yes! We can make pancakes out of paleo based ingredients. All you need to get are ripe bananas, eggs, and a heaping of almond butter.  And here is how we do it in 3 simple steps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST7DrKyjPRY
These BLT bites have the T built right in because they’re served up on a cherry tomato. She’s using cream cheese here, which you can sub out Paleo approved cream cheese for and be all set. The B of the BLT is covered with a respectable amount of bacon per bite. The T comes in the form of spinach, so you’re getting a nutritional upgrade from plain old lettuce which doesn’t have nearly as many vitamins and nutrients that spinach has. Dust these with a bit of parmesan cheese, one cheese that most Paleo-ers accept as OK, and you’re good to go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D85tDRhO1Ow
Fruit snacks and roll-ups (i.e. fruit leather), often packed as additions to a child’s lunch box or provided as an afternoon snack, can be anything but a fruit-based snack.  Often packed with simple sugars and void of dietary fiber, fruit snacks may not seem like a healthy snack to incorporate as part of a Paleo diet, but it is easy to cut out excess sugar when you make your own fruit snacks or roll-ups from scratch.  These “real” and natural fruit-based goodies make a delicious sweet snack when you are craving sugar.  Great to have on hand for both yourself and children, take a peek at these tasty recipes that may soon become a staple in your Paleo pantry:
Thank you for posting this! I have been practicing the paleo diet on and off for a few months and getting little cravings in between is hard because I know I can’t eat junk. This saves a lot of time and energy and I feel better knowing there are fun and easy paleo snacks to make without breaking your diet! Do you have any other ideas that may be easy and quick to make to save time and energy? Thanks :)
If you’re constantly craving chocolate, you might be deficient in magnesium. In fact, Mercola says approximately 80 percent of all Americans are deficient. If you find you crave chocolate, it’s very likely you need some magnesium. Almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds are all great sources of magnesium, as are green leafy veg like Swiss chard and spinach.

And the absolute best part is that they have only 5 main ingredients and take only 5 minutes to whip together. In only about 10-15 minutes of cook time, you can have delicious, light and fluffy Paleo banana pancakes. Top them with your favorite fruit, and a drizzle of maple syrup for the perfect healthy breakfast for your Saturday or Sunday morning. Another great weekend breakfast is this Sweet Potato Hash with Sausage and Eggs, this Sweet Potato Sausage Frittata or this Sweet Potato Breakfast Casserole. Heat a griddle or cast iron skillet (or any other nonstick surface on which you like to make pancakes) over medium heat. Lightly grease your griddle surface with additional coconut oil. Pour the pancake batter about 1/4 cup at a time into rounds. Allow to cook until the edges of the pancakes are set (when they’re set, they’ll lose their shine), about 1 minute. With a wide, thin spatula, turn each pancake over and allow to finish cooking on the other side (about another 30 seconds). Remove the pancakes from the griddle, and repeat with the remaining batter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-QfuZ2Ddso
Pork rinds aren’t for everyone, but if you’re looking for a salty potato chip alternative, they might be just the ticket. But what exactly are pork rinds? Well, essentially pork rind is the skin of a pig, that when fried, boiled, and/or baked creates a crispy, airy chip-like consistency. Like potato chips, pork rinds also come in a bunch of different flavors, such as BBQ, salt and pepper, and cheese. Make sure to check the ingredients of store bought pork rinds, as only a handful are truly Paleo snacks.
Absolutely amazing! I love your recipes and this one will definitely be a staple for a family weekend breakfast. I have made this recipe using tapioca flour and today, with arrowroot flower. My preference is arrowroot flower. Tapioca flour has it’s place in some recipes but it can lead to a gummy texture, mainly in the middle of whatever it is I’m making. Arrowroot flour made these taste just like the real thing. My husband, who would put extra gluten on food (his running joke) was convinced these were the real thing. I think I’ll start using arrowroot flour for all of my recipes that call for tapioca. Ashley, do they always interchange so well? Thank you for your amazing recipes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWK8Q6VG20o
