These orange gummies are made to exacting standards of quality, right down to the use of grass-fed gelatin. When eating Paleo you’ll have to get used to the process of being very discerning with the types of products you buy and consume. It’s almost like starting a revolution against the world around you since so much of what you see in stores and at restaurants is not Paleo, and has either been genetically modified or is conventionally grown. This recipe exemplifies the sort of pickiness you have to have about what goes in your body. At the same time it provides a yummy orange-flavored snack that’s great anytime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UuDFkXxEnI
These mini cheesecakes might take some time to make, but it’s totally worth it. You start by making a batch of chocolate cookies for the base, then create a cheesecake-like middle without using any dairy, and then top it off with coconut cream and cacao nibs for the finale. This is the type of dessert that will make you feel like you’re not on a diet at all, and that goes in line with the Paleo mentality. Even though it’s referred to as the Paleo Diet, it’s more like a lifestyle and a way of being than something that you have to force yourself to do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkdRgTzaJtY

The paleo diet encourages you to skip weighing and measuring yourself and if at all encourages you to count nutrients as opposed to calories. So the only thing you should take into consideration when meal planning is making sure you’ll approximately cover your macronutrient needs and then simply eat as much as you feel like when it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7h8FavH-Jx4
Meatloaf is one food you don’t have to give up while following the Paleo diet. The great thing about meatloaf is everyone usually likes it enough to make it a regular menu item. In this version it has been miniaturized so that you don’t end up making one big loaf, but rather individual-sized portions so that everyone gets a nice outer crust, and it avoids the problem of soggy or crustless middle section pieces. You’ll notice that the breadcrumbs have been done away with as they aren’t allowed on the Paleo diet. You won’t notice they’re gone because there’s coconut flour instead.
Just finished up my first Whole30 and made these as a celebratory Day 31 dinner. Both my husband and I were amazed how great they were. They were a little tricky to flip but I got the hang of it after awhile. They are extremely filling and really don’t require any topping because they are moist and plenty sweet with the bananas. I think they were actually twice as good when eating left overs the following morning. I’m considering making a few batches and freezing them for easy quick breakfasts!

A roulade is just a fancy French name for a rolled up food, and in this case they are rolling up a chicken with prosciutto and pesto. That means when you cut the chicken into slices, you’ll get a nice presentation because it will seem like the chicken has been stuffed with the prosciutto and pesto. Pesto is a great way to enhance any meal, and you can make a Paleo friendly version quite easily. They provide a pesto sauce recipe for you to follow. They have cauliflower used as a side dish so you’re getting not only your meat, but also your vegetables.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this paleo pancake recipe. My toddler’s diet had to be altered for health reasons and pancakes are one of her favourite breakfast items. I’ve been so stressed out trying to find recipes that she loves and this one is a keeper. She and I included absolutely love these pancakes! She’s at a picky toddler age… and I eat them because they’re so delicious! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhW4Cg7Yfuw
Skillet meals are always nice to make because they generally keep things contained to one pan. In this recipe she’s put together a nice mix of grass-fed ground beef, zucchini, and other supporting ingredients which turns out to be one of the best Paleo beef recipes we’ve discovered. The key is its simplicity, which allows you to enjoy the naturally flavor of the beef, while still getting your vegetables. Tomatoes are used as well, which help the body in many ways, most importantly with their lycopene content. Did you know that by cooking the tomatoes, you’re getting plenty more lycopene than from raw tomatoes?
Rashid – check out my comment below (about the Tanka Bars – the spicy one that I like only has about 250mg or 11%DV – which isn’t too bad for “jerky” type snacks. Low fat and pretty low calorie too). I’m addicted to them! Costco online has the best deal if you buy in bulk. Otherwise, try Ebay, sometimes people sell them there in smaller quantities you can try (maybe Zupan’s or New Season’s Markets or Whole Foods might carry them as well??? – I’m not sure).
I love you and your recipes better than all.the other paleo recipe sites! These pancakes are delicious, even though mine weren’t as beautiful as yours! They still tasted great. I must need a better pan as you suggested! You have the best, simple paleo recipes. I love your 2 ingredient roti and naan bread so much! They make the sting of going gluten free bearable! I do wish you’d develop a bread that I could slice for a sandwich, toast for breakfast and even eat by itself! Other than that, I just dont need any other cookbooks besides yours! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yjGDjjk7OA
Pancakes are a mainstay breakfast meal. But is a pancake without having to use flour even possible? Well, tell you what, the paleo pancake recipe is the answer to your question. Yes! We can make pancakes out of paleo based ingredients. All you need to get are ripe bananas, eggs, and a heaping of almond butter.  And here is how we do it in 3 simple steps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST7DrKyjPRY

Given the unhealthy options available at airport and on most flights, it’s a great plan to come prepared with your own Paleo snacks. Check the security requirements at the airports you’re travelling through to determine which of the following options will be allowed on your airplane. Hopefully with unopened packets, you should have no problems, but do check first!
You can’t go wrong with curried cashews, as cashews are one of the more popular Paleo Nuts, and curry is a Paleo approved spice. They use honey to add a bit of sweetness to these, which only makes them more satisfying because it can hit your craving for sweet as well as savory. The best part is you can make a big batch of these and then divvy them up into smaller containers to use throughout the following week. They also point out that you can make curried pecans instead, if you happen to have pecans on hand and not cashews. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JMPLMKoDMA

Leftover chicken or turkey breast, pork chop, burger, or any meat with avocado/guacamole/guacachoke* smeared on top. You can just roast a pound or two of any kind of meat in the oven for 13 minutes or so and then have all that meat for snacks and meals for the week. Sometimes we make 3-pound hams in our smoker, slice it up, put it in a glass container and then I can just grab a piece of ham when I want it. Any meat will do! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYUx8rBOK-0
I love how simple and easy your recipes are to make! They are delicious and healthy! I was a total hit the moms and kids when I brought in the sweet potato ginger brownies. They were in shock when I told them what they are made out of. I’m sure you have a few more followings after sending them your recipe link. Thank you so much for this website! You definatly deserve the Homies award!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIRxU_ni1XY
When it comes to pizza on Paleo, you have a few different options. You can use one of these Paleo friendly pizza recipes, or you can make something like this pizza pie casserole. It has all the flavors that you want from a pizza, but without the crust that usually gets a Paleo eater into trouble. The bottom layer is made up entirely of ground beef, and then they put a vegetable crust over the top of the meat layer, making it a balanced Paleo meal by giving you your vegetables. The cheese on the top is optional, so use your best judgment on this and opt out of it if you know you can’t handle cheese. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEOLZpj1G8g
So I’m not one to make my food in football shapes. Or use dye to color my food in my favorite teams colors. Probably because I don’t have a favorite team. But my home states team (the Broncos) are in the Superbowl this year so I’m obligated to act excited. I’d honestly rather just be moving into my new apartment and organizing crap than watching to game. But for social stigmas and reasons, I will be watching to game. Mainly so I can snack on food all day long and it’s not considered binge eating. Thanks, Superbowl. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajhVVGhl2O4
Larabar makes bars and bites filled with nuts, seeds, and other superfoods that make a great, inexpensive travel Paleo snack (one bar typically costs around $1). It’s a good idea to keep a few of these in your car, purse, or desk as a light snack. While not all Larabar products are Paleo, all are GMO-free, minimally processed, and made with all-natural ingredients. Some Paleo-approved Larabar flavors include Pecan Pie, Cashew Cookie, and Apple Pie.
This flatbread pizza is billed as being grain free and nut free, which is interesting because many Paleo pizza crusts will contain almond flour to replace ordinary flour. This recipe uses sunflower seed flour, a very unique choice for a white flour substitute, and it combines that with tapioca flour to live up to the nut-free promise. You are free to add your own toppings, or go with what they’ve used, including fresh tomatoes, spinach leaves, and season things up with oregano, basil, and garlic powder. It’s nice to have a guilt-free delicious flatbread crust recipe to have on-hand anytime you get a pizza craving.

In order to keep salads interesting you need to have an array of different ways to make them. In this grilled chicken salad recipe you’re starting with a basic chicken salad, but adding in items like raspberries, walnuts, and artichoke hearts to jazz things up and make it a meal that you look forward to time and time again. Top it with a basic balsamic vinaigrette or your favorite Paleo dressing and you’ve got a winner on your hands.
Kale chips are one of the healthiest snacks on the planet, and you don’t have to be a gourmet chef in order to get them right. The beauty of eating kale chips is that there’s no debate over whether they are Paleo or not. The ingredients are as simple as it gets: as much kale as you want with enough olive oil to coat them, and then some salt and pepper until you’re happy with the way they taste. Making them is super easy, and doesn’t take long from start to finish, maybe 20 minutes total. Eat these for a protein and fiber packed snack with lots of vitamins and minerals.
This burger is made with mushroom caps instead of a bun, and it is designed to mimic the flavors of a Philly steak sandwich, only in burger form. It is made from slices of sirloin, so it’s using Green me, and of course has all of the necessary ingredients that go into a Philly steak, such as a bell peppers in multiple colors, and an onion. They’re using lard to fry it all up in, so this is going to be one flavor-filled burger. Cutting out the bread is a facet of Paleo that many followers struggle with, but if you use substitutes like they are here, the process is easier.
These are the best gluten free pancakes I’ve ever had… and maybe the best pancakes ever, period! They are so good! I added an overripe banana and decreased the coconut milk a tad to keep the consistency right. I topped them with whipped coconut cream and fresh strawberries. OMG. I want to eat them every day from now on. THANK YOU! I wish there was a way to post a picture, because they actually turned out beautifully browned and round, too, which is hard to come by in most grain free pancakes in my experience! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsNAQwZfagA
5. Cassava Pizza Crust: Speaking of Italian comfort foods, you can still have pizza Fridays. This pizza crust is made of mashed cassava (also called yuca), which crisps up nicely (as our Caribbean friends who traditionally cook with yuca already know). Top it with your favorite veggies and nut cheese and you’re good to go. (via Predominantly Paleo)
No time for a tropical vacation? Make these coconut and pineapple pancakes instead! Mix all the ingredients in a blender and combine freeze-dried pineapple and coconut sugar for a sweet topping. To make this recipe paleo-approved, be sure to swap the baking powder (which contains non-paleo cornstarch) for one of these simple substitutions. The Paleo Approach: Reverse Autoimmune Disease and Heal Your Body, by Sarah Ballantyne, PhD. This book is billed as a solution for autoimmune diseases, in which the body’s immune system attacks its own cells. In the text, Ballantyne discusses her own struggles with autoimmune disease and helps guide readers on how the paleo diet may help relieve their symptoms, too.
Here’s a three-ingredient kebab combo that’s great to prep ahead of time (and trust us, they keep well enough in the fridge for a next-day snack). Cut chicken breasts into cubes and marinate in Tessemae’s Lemon Garlic Dressing for 1-3 hours. Thread cubes onto a skewer and grill for about 15 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley. No extra sauce needed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doCDdxv7ZQ4
The number of things that modern day cooks can do to vegetables is growing, and they’re coming up with new ways to make eating vegetables fun and desirable. This time they’ve managed to make a jerky out of eggplant, which makes it great to include when you’re having some beef jerky. Paleo is all about balancing out your meat intake with veggies, which would make a snack of beef jerky and eggplant jerky a pretty balanced way to go. They provide two different ways to make these, one for those that own a dehydrator and one for those that don’t.
Hi, Susan! I linked to Thrive Market under the Siete amazon link. That’s the only other online place I get them or I purchase them from Whole Foods! They’re cheaper on Thrive Market than they are at Whole Foods unless you can find them on sale at the store. You can also purchase them through the siete website directly, however I’m unsure what the price and shipping is! They’re so good though! If you haven’t tried the tortillas yet, I’d recommend getting the almond flour ones first. They’ve seemed to hold up better (more sturdy) than the coconut ones if you have wet/heavy ingredients in your taco 🙂
It doesn’t get simpler or more customizable than this. Simply mash two bananas, mix with two eggs (one at a time works best), add any extras, and cook away. Though we love the simplicity of two ingredients, we highly recommend adding baking powder for a little extra fluff—and help with your flip. Another pro tip: Don’t try to rush the process. Test the pancakes by lightly lifting the edges and making sure they’re good to go before sending them flying.
Meatloaf is one food you don’t have to give up while following the Paleo diet. The great thing about meatloaf is everyone usually likes it enough to make it a regular menu item. Perfect pancakes should be fluffy, tender, lightly sweet, and simple to make. For a paleo recipe that would stand up to its traditional counterparts, we started by choosing the flours that would be the base of our recipe. We knew from previous testing that a combination of almond and arrowroot flours would give our pancakes volume and structure; we determined that a 5:1 ratio of almond to arrowroot worked best.
Shepherd’s pie is a popular dish in the UK, but not so much in the States. It’s a shame because it’s very delicious, but it is also made with a lot of ingredients that aren’t necessarily Paleo if it’s made the traditional way. This recipe makes plenty of adjustments so that a Paleo eater can enjoy comforting food. For starters they’ve gotten rid of white potatoes that play such a big role, and replace them with sweet potatoes which are a recommended Paleo food because they are loaded with antioxidants and fiber. The other ingredients all fall well within your Paleo guidelines, so you can eat until satisfied.
I made these this weekend. They were great. I added some sliced strawberries to top them and in between the short stack of pancakes. Delicious! My wife loved the flavor, but found the texture to be a little odd.I am thinking about adding a 1/4 cup of almond flour to give them a boost in the texture department. All in all, I thought they were great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zo49Pyhii-k

It doesn’t matter if you’re Paleo or not — you’re going to want to make these nachos! You’ll start with homemade sweet potato chips, then load ’em up with shredded chicken, pico de gallo and chilies. But the star of this dish is the avocado sauce. It’s your cheese stand-in but trust me, you’re going to want to eat it all the time. A mix of avocado, mayo, lime juice, jalapeño, garlic and cilantro, this will be your new favorite sauce. Serve these on game day, movie night or anytime, really! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utN3rSTuH6o

Casseroles are usually a big hit with the family, and perhaps no other casserole can match a pizza casserole. It’s like a pizza stacked onto another pizza and is sure to please the pickiest of eaters, even if that’s you. It’s also a Paleo-friendly recipe, with no crust to speak of, just layer upon layer of yummy items like eggplant, parmesan, sausage, and of course marinara sauce. When it comes to pizza you have to make the determination of how you feel about mozzarella cheese because it’s not a Paleo food, but many followers will have it now and then.
Hello. I tried this recipe this morning. I new to this paleo/gluten free lifestyle, so this was a nice test of something different to replace pancakes, which I love, but which my body hates. I found them very crepe like as well. Almost like the French part of Frech Toast. I added a tsp of vanilla extract, and a little salt. I look forward to experimenting with this for sure. Next time I will use really ripe banana’s, no cinnamon and add pecan. I also used a cast iron skillet which might just get to hot for these delicate pancakes. But low and slow seemed to do the trick. Thanks for posting this! It makes it so much easier to transition to healthy grain free eating when you have great recipes like this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqjDrTy_n5c
Here’s a great game day dip that you can serve up and feel like you’re having a real treat. Use one of the chip recipes on this page to scoop up this flavorful dip. It’s a sure winner when bacon and bleu cheese join spinach and artichokes. It’s like taken a proven success and adding two more delicious ingredients to it. You may want to drop the bleu cheese if you know for certain that you can’t handle any cheese, but many Paleo eaters will make an exception for a bit of cheese on occasion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AxOnEg6hXs

This recipe does its best to replicate the chocolate Hostess brand donuts, but in a way that gets rid of the lousy ingredients and replaces them with wholesome ones. They contain wonderful things like medjool dates, eggs, and coconut flour, rather than what you’ll find in a package of Hostess donettes. The main ingredient in those is sugar, followed by partially hydrogenated vegetable oil which provides trans fat, and wheat flour. Not a good snack to get into the habit of eating, but these replicas won’t set you back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wG3b3ql34A

With this crock pot recipe you can create a cashew chicken dish that will rival anything that you can buy from your local Chinese restaurant. The great thing is that because it is using the slow cooker it is going to be a really easy as far as preparation goes. You won’t have to babysit this, all that’s needed is to place the ingredients into the pot and let it cook itself for 3 to 4 hours. The great thing is they’ve used things like arrowroot starch instead of a breading made from wheat. It’s simple and subtle changes like this that can turn a Paleo no-no into a Paleo yum-yum.
This recipe couldn’t be more perfectly named, as these Paleo pancakes are in fact magic. Simply plop the ingredients in a blender (may we never mash a banana again), cook, and top with all-natural raspberry syrup—which is as easy to make as the pancakes themselves. This flour-free recipe can yield somewhat flat pancakes, so we say add a dash of baking powder.

When it comes to pizza on Paleo, you have a few different options. You can use one of these Paleo friendly pizza recipes, or you can make something like this pizza pie casserole. I had to follow your link to the crepe pan out of curiosity! Do you know if it works well for making roti? We have a legit Indian roti pan and I’ve been asked several times over the years by friends and family where to find a “roti pan” or if they can just use their cast iron skillet? This seems like it’s pretty close in comparison and sells for a reasonable price! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrlFu0Lsqbc
