Thank you for sharing and making my morning WOW!!! So hard to find recipes that are paleo and not meat and veggies…I am french and can not have these for breakfast… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zq0Ix-Vfoww

It only took me THREE years (note the sarcasm) of gluten-free food blogging, to share a recipe for paleo pancakes. I finally feel like a legit food blogger. In my mind – there are certain recipes every food blogger must master within their niche to be considered legit at what they do: chocolate cake (not to brag but… mine is the best), banana bread, brownies, cookies (I have a bunch in my dessert section!) and pancakes. Is there anything I’m missing?
Eggplants are Paleo friendly for most, but store-bought baba ghanoush can still contain loads of hidden mayo—and that can mean unwanted vegetable oils. Go for a simple, mayo-free recipe with lots of garlic and a squeeze of lemon juice for a fresher take that won’t weigh you down. Try pairing this dip with some Paleo-friendly homemade rosemary sesame crackers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9NO6pVv7sY
It’s natural to want crunchy foods, but on Paleo you won’t want to subject yourself to many of the crunchy options out there. In this recipe they are coating a snapper fillet with sesame seeds, so you will get the delicate texture of the fish juxtaposed with the crunchy sesame seeds, all fried up in grass fed butter. The frying makes sure that the sesame seeds have a nice toasted flavor, and they point out that if you don’t have grass fed butter you can also use ghee or bacon fat to fry the fish in. This fish goes great with any number of vegetables as a side, and we like to recommend broccoli as a healthy option. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--BtnfD9RmE
These are sirloin rolls have brussel sprouts and fennel as sidekicks, but the sirloin is going to get top billing as the star of the show. Making sirloin rolls can be tricky unless you know how to do it, and they’ve provided helpful instructions here so yours will come out looking just like theirs. They have bacon rolled up with the sirloin, so you’re going to get plenty of flavor, and it’s nice that they have matched all of this meat with Brussels sprouts, one of the healthiest vegetables around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IRx9zlEMOk
These gummy snacks are billed as being anti-inflammatory and use a host of ingredients that have been shown to help curb inflammation in the body, namely turmeric and ginger. The way they’ve made these into gummy form is through the use of gelatin, which is definitely a go on Paleo. There’s also other healthy items to really make these a vitamin-packed snack, including citrus juice of your choice and raw honey. By using natural ingredients like raw honey you’re eating food that is as close to nature as possible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EICS1tZ2Hp4
The main ingredient in traditional pancakes is wheat flour. Since that’s a no-no on the Paleo diet, this recipe uses coconut flour. But you’ll notice that it’s only a little bit of coconut flour – two and a half teaspoons, to be exact – which, if you’ve ever made traditional pancakes will seem like a strangely small amount of flour. But here’s the secret… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=og2X4Tb6LdE
Edible seaweeds are too often overlooked on a Paleo diet, but they boast an unparalleled nutritional profile. Among many essential nutrients, most kinds of seaweeds are loaded with iodine, an essential trace element to life. Iodine is especially important for the proper functioning of the thyroid gland. For most people on a SAD diet, the only reliable source of iodine is iodized salt. Many people on a Paleo diet decide to shun added salt completely or to consume unrefined sea salt instead of regular iodized table salt. This is great, but with such a change, an effort should be made to eat iodine rich foods occasionally. Seaweeds are a great option.
The only thing better than a slice of carrot cake is a carrot cake pancake—and a healthy one at that. Made with only seven ingredients, these pancakes are everything you love about carrot cake minus the cream cheese frosting (which you can make up for with coconut whipped cream). Similar to flipping with berries, we say leave the walnuts for topping, as adding them to the batter can make them a bit heavy—and a bit of a pain in the butt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mybgoG_DHZk
Absolutely the best chicken ever, even the breast meat was moist! It's the only way I'll cook a whole chicken again. Simple, easy, quick, no mess - perfect every time. I've used both stainless steel and cast iron pans. great and easy technique for “roasted” chicken. I will say there were no pan juices, just fat in the skillet. Will add to the recipe rotation. Good for family and company dinners too. I've done this using a rimmed sheet pan instead of a skillet and put veggies and potatoes around the chicken for a one-pan meal. Broccoli gets nicely browned and yummy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzAIl7EJxR0
"While trying many of the grain free pancake ideas out there, I discovered that many pancake recipes are just too 'eggy' or include bananas in the recipe. A lot of the recipes resulted in pancakes that were too flat and broke apart when flipping. I wanted a recipe that was like the Aunt Jemima® pancakes I grew up with: delicious and fluffy. After much experimentation with recipes and reading forum comments, I finally put together something reminiscent of childhood quality pancakes. Top with maple syrup and fresh fruit." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Isfh0AtkZd0
This recipe is a little nutty—literally. It uses almond flour as its main dry ingredient and is mixed with almond milk too. If the batter is watery at first, simply add more flour, and feel free to change things up and use hazelnut flour instead. These Paleo pancakes are on the heartier side, especially if you add some tapioca powder, which will help avoid any breakage.
This meatloaf is billed as being packed with plenty of pork flavor, and that’s because they’re using bacon to top things off. What most people don’t understand is that Paleo is equal parts meat and vegetables, even though this meatloaf has a bacon topping, it is also packed with a pound of spinach. The 50/50 ratio of meat to vegetables is important to help your digestive system process all the meat, and to stick to a hunter-gatherer ratio. If it was a meat-centric diet it wouldn’t be very healthy, and it wouldn’t be in line with what our ancestors were eating in the Stone Age. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QL6FUI7rWUY
The Paleo Approach: Reverse Autoimmune Disease and Heal Your Body, by Sarah Ballantyne, PhD. This book is billed as a solution for autoimmune diseases, in which the body’s immune system attacks its own cells. In the text, Ballantyne discusses her own struggles with autoimmune disease and helps guide readers on how the paleo diet may help relieve their symptoms, too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCFZoqmKf5M
Another awesome trick: Let the batter chill overnight. It just may be the best way to achieve the fluffiest of fluff, and it doesn’t hurt the flavor either. This recipe boasts more ingredients than most, but is the closest to old-fashioned gluten-full pancakes, if that’s what you’re aiming for. Cook on super-low heat and top with coconut whipped cream—and maybe a flower or two.

I went on Saturday morning and I excitedly told the young girl about finding your blog. The owner was out at the farmers market. I got the chicken salad wrap….delish! I purchases the paleo wraps and can’t wait to make my own this week. I am new paleo….I’ve tried many ways of eating…from raw to lord knows what. I’m 56 in pretty good health but have a bad hip. I need to loose about 20 pounds and want to do it healthfully and have the weight stay off and this be a lifestyle. I’ll be following your blog and maybe I’ll see you at Vive!
Shepherd’s pie is a popular dish in the UK, but not so much in the States. It’s a shame because it’s very delicious, but it is also made with a lot of ingredients that aren’t necessarily Paleo if it’s made the traditional way. This recipe makes plenty of adjustments so that a Paleo eater can enjoy comforting food. For starters they’ve gotten rid of white potatoes that play such a big role, and replace them with sweet potatoes which are a recommended Paleo food because they are loaded with antioxidants and fiber. The other ingredients all fall well within your Paleo guidelines, so you can eat until satisfied.

Larabar is another bar made from simple ingredients but also higher in the sugar department. That’s because the sugar is the all-natural kind from dates. The other ingredients are just as simple: almonds, unsweetened apples, walnuts, raisins, and cinnamon—super clean and also incredibly tasty. We recommend these before a workout when your body needs more simple carbohydrates for quick energy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0vOKRkk1ik
I’ve been doing paleo on and off for the last couple of years, and since the new year I have been back at it. I work in a breakfast diner and am serving pancakes ALL day, they always smell SO good, so tonight for dinner I decided to make a batch of paleo cakes, how different could they really be? Well, I found out they were great! Hit the spot and craving perfectly! I will definitely be making these again! Even my boyfriend d and step son ate them! Not to mention, with some patients they cook up perfectly! Thank u for this recipe!
Pancakes are a mainstay breakfast meal. But is a pancake without having to use flour even possible? Well, tell you what, the paleo pancake recipe is the answer to your question. Yes! We can make pancakes out of paleo based ingredients. All you need to get are ripe bananas, eggs, and a heaping of almond butter.  And here is how we do it in 3 simple steps.
My three kids and I just finished a double batch of these and LOVED them! I’ve tried so many paleo pancake recipes and they’ve never turned out as “normal” as these (usually really flat and take forever to cook). I took the advice from another comment and beat the egg whites, separately, before beating them into the batter. We’ll definitely make these again!

I made these this weekend. They were great. I added some sliced strawberries to top them and in between the short stack of pancakes. Delicious! My wife loved the flavor, but found the texture to be a little odd.I am thinking about adding a 1/4 cup of almond flour to give them a boost in the texture department. All in all, I thought they were great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbZaUqW_zBc
These snack bars will definitely cure you of any food cravings, which makes them great as an emergency backup while you’re on the Paleo plan. Paleo is definitely not about starving yourself, or torturing yourself by depriving yourself of enjoyable foods, and these bars are proof of that. Imagine having a supply of these at the ready for times when you’re hungry but your next meal won’t be for a few hours. You’d be able to quell any signs of hunger which can often lead to diet-ruining food choices. However, as long as you’re eating balanced Paleo meals in the proper portions you shouldn’t be getting hungry until several hours after you’ve eaten.
Here’s a trail mix that will definitely sustain you for long periods of time, whether actually on a trail or stuck in a cubicle. You can munch on this mix of nuts, seeds, fruit, and coconut, and they’ve even included a little something sweet in the form of chocolate chips. They’re using the mini chocolate chips from Enjoy Life, which are Paleo approved because they’re dairy-free and gluten-free, and don’t use too much sugar, and it comes in the form of brown sugar. The end result is a sweet, crunchy, coconutty mixture that you’ll be happy to have at your side in all sorts of situations.
This recipe is using grass-fed ricotta cheese stuffed into strawberries, which are then wrapped in proscuitto. The ricotta cheese will be an issue for those strictly following the no dairy rule, while others may choose to give it a pass because it comes from grass-fed cows. Many food items on Paleo fall into a gray area, and it is up to the individual to decide how far they want to take it, and how their body processes these types of foods. You end up getting a meaty, fruity, cheesy mouthful, which is sure to make a great snack or appetizer for a party.

This recipe does its best to replicate the chocolate Hostess brand donuts, but in a way that gets rid of the lousy ingredients and replaces them with wholesome ones. They contain wonderful things like medjool dates, eggs, and coconut flour, rather than what you’ll find in a package of Hostess donettes. The main ingredient in those is sugar, followed by partially hydrogenated vegetable oil which provides trans fat, and wheat flour. Not a good snack to get into the habit of eating, but these replicas won’t set you back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wG3b3ql34A
Almond butter and most other nut butters, like sunflower, coconut, hazelnut, and cashew butter, are Paleo-friendly and make for a tasty treat. Try nut butter spread on bananas or apples for a healthy snack, or even just a spoonful right out of the jar, which is a decadent treat. If you’re counting calories, cashew butter has the fewest, at about 94 per tablespoon, followed by almond butter with 98. Plus, nuts offer a ton of health benefits, including fighting diseases such as heart disease and cancer, so here are more reasons to snack on them. Note: Peanuts are not Paleo, which means peanut butter is off limits.
Kirsty, with animal protein I’m a pretty picky. I buy at butchers where I trust in the quality. In my opinion there is a huge difference in taste and quality when it comes to animal protein. Grains and veggies I’m more lenient but never with animal protein. The cheapest way to get high quality meat is share a whole animal with friends or neighbors. The bacon we eat is from a pig I share with another 2 families. Once a year I get 1/3 and freeze it all. The bacon is incomparable to any grocery store bacon. I’d rather it less often.
I love how simple and easy your recipes are to make! They are delicious and healthy! I was a total hit the moms and kids when I brought in the sweet potato ginger brownies. They were in shock when I told them what they are made out of. I’m sure you have a few more followings after sending them your recipe link. Thank you so much for this website! You definatly deserve the Homies award!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCVSPN30-ZE

If you’re constantly craving chocolate, you might be deficient in magnesium. In fact, Mercola says approximately 80 percent of all Americans are deficient. If you find you crave chocolate, it’s very likely you need some magnesium. Almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds are all great sources of magnesium, as are green leafy veg like Swiss chard and spinach.
