Absolutely amazing! I love your recipes and this one will definitely be a staple for a family weekend breakfast. I have made this recipe using tapioca flour and today, with arrowroot flower. My preference is arrowroot flower. Tapioca flour has it’s place in some recipes but it can lead to a gummy texture, mainly in the middle of whatever it is I’m making. Arrowroot flour made these taste just like the real thing. My husband, who would put extra gluten on food (his running joke) was convinced these were the real thing. I think I’ll start using arrowroot flour for all of my recipes that call for tapioca. Ashley, do they always interchange so well? Thank you for your amazing recipes!

I only used one banana, one egg, and scraped the bottom of my natural almond butter, a dash of cinnamon, and they were great. I would make the full size if I was feeding my husband too but I just wanted to say that if you want to make just enough for yourself it still works great. This is like a traditional smoky, garlicky, and salty snack mix but it’s made with only real clean ingredients. It can be somewhat addicting. It’s just a nice pure nutty goodness with smoked spices and garlic infused olive oil. You can make it with any kind of nuts you’d like. Walnuts and pecans were used because they are lots of nooks and crannies for the spices to grab onto and stay. The almonds were used to add some extra crunchiness. There are cashews in the picture.

I am so, so, so, so, so, so excited about this recipe!!! Oh my goodness! I just made & ate the paleo pancakes – they were the bomb! Lol. I used fresh squeezed lemon juice in place of the wine vinegar & a little more almond-coconut milk for a thinner batter. Pancakes were light/fluffy & absolutely delicious! They are also filling. I should have stopped eating at the 1 medium-size pancake but ate 2 b/c they were so good! I am so glad I stumbled upon your youtube video/website. I plan to try some of your other recipes. Paleo pancakes are genius. Fluffy, delicious, low-carb stacks of joy. We’ll take 100. But they can actually be quite bland and the epitome of a #PinterestFail. Recipes claiming to be fluffy are often flat, gluten-free flours (if not used correctly) can taste eerily like cardboard, and the pancakes can be so doggone hard to flip that you end up with an inedible pile of melted banana. We’ll actually take zero.
It’s natural to want crunchy foods, but on Paleo you won’t want to subject yourself to many of the crunchy options out there. In this recipe they are coating a snapper fillet with sesame seeds, so you will get the delicate texture of the fish juxtaposed with the crunchy sesame seeds, all fried up in grass fed butter. The frying makes sure that the sesame seeds have a nice toasted flavor, and they point out that if you don’t have grass fed butter you can also use ghee or bacon fat to fry the fish in. This fish goes great with any number of vegetables as a side, and we like to recommend broccoli as a healthy option.

So about the recipe… You have to buy the Paleo wraps online or if you’re from my area (Mandeville, Louisiana), my friend at Vive sells them. I’m not always a huge fan of buying Paleo products, but 1) these are only made of coconut, so they’re super healthy and 2) these are SO good and will give you so many new options for lunch. After you buy the wraps, make the chicken salad and use a Paleo mayo recipe. Do not get lazy about the Paleo mayo and buy store-bought; the Paleo mayo is much better. Mayo can be tough if you don’t follow directions. Happy lunch-making!
