Sweet potatoes will likely become one of the foods you find yourself using a lot of when eating Paleo. That’s because they can be cooked up in so many different ways, and they also serve as a great replacement to white potatoes. In this soup they’ll add a creamy texture, as well as lots of flavor. They go great with bell peppers, and their choice of lemon and thyme can’t be beat. The great part is that they used leftover mashed sweet potatoes for this soup, which takes out a lot of the prep work and lets you get to the cooking and the eating faster.
These wings will really hit the spot if you’ve been craving chicken wings, and are too far from your next meal to hold out. The pecan flavor comes from the smoking process, not from actual pecans. That way you’ll get a hint of pecan in every bite, without having to worry about crunchy pieces stuck to the chicken. The cool thing about this recipe is that it makes everything from scratch, so you don’t have to resort to getting things out of a bottle. Our suggestion is to make a big batch and store the rest since this isn’t exactly fast food. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtCwglD0XdQ

These skittles are made totally with fruit or vegetables and coconut butter. It’s the combination of the fruits and veggies that make them so good. The recipes for all 7 different flavors are included. The ingredients listed above for maroon consist of all the ingredients. The other colors only have the ingredients listed that are not included in the maroon variety. All you need is a good blender and a food dehydrator. Although I have dried fruits in the oven before. The oven is faster but necessarily better. Just turn it on the lowest heat possible. I put links to two different dehydrators because one is way more affordable than the other. I have the cheap one and it works fine. But if you think you might use it a lot it might be worth the investment to get the more expensive one. Since the skittles are dried they can be stored at room temperature for a long time. That makes them handy to keep in your purse or bag for a time. I’ve also been known to freeze. dried foods and they keep just fine for a really long time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baEZwX4imOc
Paleo pancakes are made with real food ingredients to create a grain-free breakfast option. The batter is whipped up within minutes in a blender to create fluffy, high rise, golden brown griddle cakes. By combining simple ingredients like eggs, almond flour, arrowroot flour, baking soda and honey, this pancake recipe has a texture similar to wheat, but I bet you won’t miss it!
This meatloaf is billed as being packed with plenty of pork flavor, and that’s because they’re using bacon to top things off. What most people don’t understand is that Paleo is equal parts meat and vegetables, even though this meatloaf has a bacon topping, it is also packed with a pound of spinach. The 50/50 ratio of meat to vegetables is important to help your digestive system process all the meat, and to stick to a hunter-gatherer ratio. If it was a meat-centric diet it wouldn’t be very healthy, and it wouldn’t be in line with what our ancestors were eating in the Stone Age.

These mini pizzas are great to have as a snack, at a party, for watching the big game, as a lunch, or a dinner, depending on how many of them you eat at one time. They are made with a crust that is formed with almond flour, so they’re Paleo friendly, and they are topped simply with tomato paste and some blue cheese, so you get the rich and tangy taste of blue cheese in each bite. You’ll want to go with a goat’s milk variety of blue cheese, if you go this route at all. Some Paleo eaters can handle small amounts of cheese on occasion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eyshsebziA
These did taste amazing, however I am one of those that cannot get these to stay together to flip them. If I waited long enough to flip without it being a scrambled mess, they were black. Should I try a lower heated skillet for a longer time? Or possibly I am not using enough oil in my skillet? My husband and I both ate them….even scrambled they tasted wonderful. We are new to Paleo and are trying lots of recipes. Thanks for all your ideas!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ysLjd-F9dI
At some point on the Paleo diet you’re going to crave something sweet, flavorful, and crunchy, and that’s when we’d recommend baking up a batch of these clusters. They use pumpkin seeds, and we’re just finding out how healthy these are, and the benefits they provide. The sweetness comes from coconut sugar and honey, two approved sources of sweet on Paleo. We recommend going with organic raw honey to avoid the processed kind you find on store shelves. The other ingredients are all-natural, just be sure to use organic pumpkin seeds for the best results.
I love you and your recipes better than all.the other paleo recipe sites! These pancakes are delicious, even though mine weren’t as beautiful as yours! They still tasted great. I must need a better pan as you suggested! You have the best, simple paleo recipes. I love your 2 ingredient roti and naan bread so much! They make the sting of going gluten free bearable! I do wish you’d develop a bread that I could slice for a sandwich, toast for breakfast and even eat by itself! Other than that, I just dont need any other cookbooks besides yours! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yjGDjjk7OA
Quiche is usually fair game on the Paleo diet because it’s primarily made with eggs, and eggs are definitely a Paleo approved food. This particular quiche recipe includes plenty of delicious ingredients, and she’s topped it off with a zucchini hash crust so it’s crunchy on the top, and full of eggs and yummy vegetables on the bottom. All of the ingredients that are not Paleo in a traditional quiche have been removed and replaced with Paleo perfect items. Flax meal is used as an optional ingredient, and we’d suggest it since it adds beneficial omega-3s to the mix. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U63RJiOS3TE

These chips aren’t actually made from anything except the cheese. It’s asiago cheese, a hard cheese that doesn’t contain much lactose and is therefore looked upon as OK by some Paleo followers. If you know that you don’t process any cheese well you’ll want to take a pass on this one, but if you can handle it in occasional doses it’s worth it. The two ingredients are asiago cheese and rosemary, so it doesn’t get much simpler.

You’ve done it again! You’ve managed to knock our old favourite pancakes off the top spot and these little beauties are now in pole position in the family pancake hall of fame. Tasty, delicate and sweet, my children will be requesting these for breakfast all week – so much healthier than a bowl of sugary cereal. Looking forward to experimenting with some new flavours but I find with breakfast the sweet spices are always a winner.

This Japanese beef dish uses bamboo as one of the vegetables. Trying new things is part of the Paleo process, and if you’ve never had bamboo shoots now is a good time to start. They are full of potassium and vitamins and taste good, especially with beef. There are also other vegetables like green beans and spinach to balance out the beef, and his preparation is easy to follow so you can make this just like he did. You can usually find bamboo shoots in the International section of a grocery store, of you may need to visit an Asian food mart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3L3Q1GuDkE

Most commercial goods will be off limits while you’re on the Paleo diet because they are filled with processed ingredients, grains, chemicals, and other foods that just aren’t able to make the cut while eating the Paleo way. These spiced scones do a good job of replacing the pumpkin spiced scones you find at your local Starbucks when the season is right. The trick is they don’t use any ingredients that aren’t on the Paleo list of approved foods, so you’re totally in the clear. Isn’t it great that Paleo minded chefs are hard at work to bring you guilt-free recipes like these?

If you thought pulled pork sliders were off the menu, you were wrong. You just have to find creative workarounds when you are making Paleo recipes. In this case they’ve replaced hamburger buns with sliced sweet potato, which gets the wheat out. They haven’t skimped on the pulled pork which is going to taste just like you’d expect it to if you ordered a pulled pork sandwich from a barbecue joint. Creativity is one of the main and factors when you are eating Paleo because nothing is really off limits, you just have to figure out how you can have it.
the flavor of these is amazing!!!!!! But… the consistency created a big issue.. they were so thin that i kept burning them/not cooking the middle all the way through. I flipped too early or too late.. it was kind of a mess in my kitchen this morning. Half way through I added almond flour to try and thicken them up.. no dice! I still ate them because they were tasty, but not easy to execute. Any advice?!
These are delicious! I didn’t have any coconut flour so I used 1/4 of all plant protein powder and they turned out great. I did separate the egg whites and beat them separately. I couldn’t believe how light and fluffy they were, although they were pretty delicate and wanted to fall apart. Next time I think I would add in some starch or binder to hold them together a bit more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT3-ea4BwiE
Of course, snacking is completely optional on a Paleo diet. In fact, many people end up naturally eating only two meals per day, but it doesn’t mean that snacking is a bad idea, especially if the snack only contains healthy ingredients and prevents you from indulging with bad foods. They can also be great when on the go or as something to eat post workout. Just remember that your snacks should respect the basic principles of Paleo. This means that most fruits and nuts should be consumed only in moderation. Most fruits are high in the sugar fructose, which is toxic in higher doses and most nuts are high in polyunsaturated fat (PUFA), especially the omega-6 PUFA. Refer to my article on nuts and seeds to know about the best choices. This also means that snacks containing mainly saturated fat or animal protein are usually great.
Pork rinds aren’t for everyone, but if you’re looking for a salty potato chip alternative, they might be just the ticket. But what exactly are pork rinds? Well, essentially pork rind is the skin of a pig, that when fried, boiled, and/or baked creates a crispy, airy chip-like consistency. Like potato chips, pork rinds also come in a bunch of different flavors, such as BBQ, salt and pepper, and cheese. Make sure to check the ingredients of store bought pork rinds, as only a handful are truly Paleo snacks.
I googled first “healthy super bowl snacks” and got a load of quite unhealthy stuff, actually. So with a sigh, I googled “Paleo super bowl snacks” and found this. SO GLAD You posted this list! I may have to battle the grocery shopping hordes tonight and get the ingredients, but I can pig out guilt-free on Sunday! I think I am going to try the zucchini roll ups, deviled eggs and sweet potato enchiladas! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRafxW1OaUc
Many of you have tried some version of a stuffed vegetable at your meals such as a tuna-stuffed tomato or beef-stuffed peppers, but there is no reason why you can’t incorporate similar items into your snacks as part of your Paleo plan.  By rotating various colorful varieties of vegetables into your snacks, you’ll  be fueling your body with loads of vitamins, minerals, and anti-oxidants.  Stuffed vegetables can be made into gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free snack options with a little creativity and advance preparation.  Definitely not taste-free, glance over some of the recipes listed below and see which one sounds like it might be a tasty addition to your snack rotation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTU353BN-wM

I made these amazing pancakes they were amazing! the whole family loves them! I have tried fancy variations replacing the applesauce with pumpkin and adding pumpkin pie spice. and to make this even more decadent I have topped it with whipped coco cream! Thank you for sharing and making my morning WOW!!! So hard to find recipes that are paleo and not meat and veggies…I am french and can not have these for breakfast… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zq0Ix-Vfoww
Following a Paleo diet can have really terrific benefits for some people. Abstaining from inflammatory grains, eating more protein and enjoying a variety of fruits and veggies can help you lose weight and feel good. But snacking while being Paleo can be confusing at first. When you go down the Paleo snacks road, gone are the go-to crackers and dip, popcorn and even peanut butter. You can always snack on produce, of course, but sometimes you want something that isn’t a handful of nuts or chopped vegetables. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gl05lHuUPus

They’ve taken the approach of using meat to replace the crust of the pizza, which cuts out the grains and makes this one meaty pizza pie. The crust is made from Italian sausage, so it’s going to be massively flavorful, and a little spicey. They recommend using a sugar-free pizza sauce, which on Paleo you don’t want to eat any refined sugar, so this is a good recommendation to follow. They’ve made sure to include a bunch of vegetables in this “meatizza” so you are still going to get your nutritional needs met, in addition to all of that meat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KQgyfPixmw
Get your shawarma fix satisfied without ruining your dieting efforts with this Paleo approved chicken shawarma. It isn’t cooked the way traditional shawarma is, but it is still grilled, which gives it a nice flavor, and it is using a blend of spices that will give you the taste that you’re seeking out when you’re in shawarma mode. That’s because it’s marinated, so the flavors have a chance to soak into the chicken. He’s even provided a recipe for Paleo friendly hummus, so you can dip the pieces of chicken into that, or simply eat them solo.
Cooking and consuming seaweeds can be intimidating because they can seem quite bland, tough or bitter at first glance. With the proper seasonings and cooking though, they can become a real treat. In the following snack, nori sheets are simply rubbed with coconut oil, seasoned with sea salt and a small amount of sesame oil, then roasted very briefly.
This is an easy way to musakhan, and if you don’t know how to make this traditional dish, this is a great place to start. It uses plenty of chicken thighs, so you’ll be all set in the protein department. It also contains plenty of spices like allspice, cloves, and saffron. You’ll be getting a few onions in this, but you may want to eat a salad with it because there are not a lot of vegetables being used, and you want to create a nice balance between all that chicken and your vegetable intake. Don’t be afraid to try new recipes on Paleo, trial and error is how our species made it this far. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvJ5l-HPIxc
I’m sure I’m missing about a million other prepared snack options but I’m going to leave ya’ with my top 15 here. I know there’s also a ton of chocolate bars, treats, snacks, etc. but I’m not including those as I personally choose to not eat straight up chocolate as a snack anymore. I have way too many old food habits to jump on that train ;). If you have any other suggestions, favorites or things I’m missing, leave me a comment and let me know what to add!
These were really tasty- thank you! A great, simple recipe that seems very adaptable with ingredients I always have on hand – perfect. I made them without the bacon (a sin?) but had some chicken sausage that I made on the side and ate with them for that salty and sweet combo – both for dinner last night and breakfast this morning :) I also finally made your banana bread and that will definitely be a staple recipe! Great work and thank you for sharing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWG6RJpPURE
Best paleo pancakes ever. I have been trying different recipes over the last couple years and this is the only one that we plan to make again. I also noticed a bit of a funky after taste but I know for a fact its my baking soda. Its old and i didnt use a blender. So some bites had more than others. This was a hit for the whole family! I’m really glad we stumbled upon your site! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A-WD-kz-o4
Whole eggs and egg whites help the pancakes rise and set once cooked. A little bit of ghee (browned clarified butter) helps add tenderness to the batter. Baking soda and cream of tarter work together and chemical leavening agents help the pancakes rise as soon as it hits the hot pan. Honey is added for a hint of sweetness and encourages quicker browning on the surface. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyZ95ohpKjs

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has made these without eggs? They sound great but I am allergic to egg yolks. I was thinking of substituting sweet potato purée as that was recommended as an egg substitute for baking on another site, but wasn’t sure how that would work in a flourless recipe sweetened with bananas. I want to keep it as close to the original as I can with my allergies! We love sweetening things with bananas…any thoughts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSrH4elI5uc
In order to keep salads interesting you need to have an array of different ways to make them. In this grilled chicken salad recipe you’re starting with a basic chicken salad, but adding in items like raspberries, walnuts, and artichoke hearts to jazz things up and make it a meal that you look forward to time and time again. Top it with a basic balsamic vinaigrette or your favorite Paleo dressing and you’ve got a winner on your hands.
Sweet potato is another great ingredient for naturally sweetening Paleo pancakes. It also makes them heartier and more filling, and who doesn’t love a little added fiber? We love the subtle spice from ground ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon and the extra protein punch from the nut butter (any kind will do.) To keep the recipe Paleo, use coconut yogurt in place of Greek.
This dish shows you how to cook up a simple, yet delicious Paleo stir fry that has only a few main ingredients, but is not short on flavor. It has bell peppers, chicken, some soy sauce, chili powder, and is fried up in coconut oil, so while it may seem like a basic recipe, it actually is full of flavor. This makes a great meal to cook up whenever you need a quick dinner, or lunch and want to keep things light. It is easily adaptable as well, you can use any vegetables you happen to have on hand in order to complete it or build on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhL5DCizj5c
