Porridge is a nice way to start the day because it is warm, a little bit sweet, and it stays with you through the entire morning. But if you are following a traditional porridge recipe you won’t get too far while on Paleo. All of the necessary modifications have been made in this version so you can enjoy it without worrying if you are staying within the guidelines. Eggs, flour, coconut milk, and seasonings have combined to make one yummy porridge. This can serve as a standalone breakfast without any meat eaten at the same time. Paleo does focus on a meat and vegetable balance, but breakfast can be a lighter meal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCx5ZM7fPEE
Anyone who has dietary restrictions and is on a grain-free, gluten-free or dairy-free diet, can tell you that it can be hard to find good delicious and nutritious replacement for their breakfast. Today, I am sharing with you the lightest and fluffiest Paleo pancakes you will ever have the pleasure of eating. They are made with almond flour and a little bit of coconut flour for the best texture.
These clusters are great for popping, and they’re made from one of the healthiest seeds out there, pumpkin seeds. In fact there’s only four different ingredients to these, so they’ve kept it very simple, and you don’t have to worry if there are any unapproved items here. These are going to be sweet from the use of honey and coconut sugar, with a strong vanilla flavor from the vanilla extract. You can use these to satisfy your sweet tooth without the need to eat an entire dessert. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlAiM0E68Oc

These berries are wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with a blend of cheese and greens. They make for a fun snack, and are also great for entertaining. If you’ve been worried that you can’t host a party or serve guests Paleo foods, there’s no need to worry. Many of the dishes that you make will not look any different than “normal” food, and if you don’t want to tell anyone it’s Paleo friendly, you don’t have to. In this recipe they’re using ricotta, but they are making sure it’s grass-fed. If you are unable to process any sort of dairy you’ll want to omit this part, but many Paleo followers allow a bit of high quality cheese now and then.

Ideally, if you have a good Paleo breakfast and lunch, you’ll often find you don’t feel hungry and don’t need to snack. If you do find yourself hungry between meals, try eating more at meals (are you consuming enough satiating fat in your meals?). Also, check out the recipe book I've just written with loads of Paleo Breakfast recipes to inspire you.
Pancakes should be fluffy, golden, and loaded with your favorite add-ins. I’m not kidding when I say these Paleo Pancakes are the real deal. They’re based off of my cinnamon crunch pancakes, and are really just the perfect paleo pancake recipe base, ever. They are paleo pancakes made with almond flour, are kid-friendly, freezer-friendly, and nobody will know their paleo! Guaranteed! These paleo pancakes are made gluten-free, grain-free, refined sugar free, and without banana. I make batches of the mix for my mom every time she comes to visit, and she’s not grain-free!
Don’t settle for buying Fruit Roll-Ups when you can make your own version at home, without all of the chemicals and preservatives. These leathery lookalikes deliver all the flavor you could ask from a fruit snack, because they’re really made from fruit. Apples and strawberries to be exact, and there’s even a grapefruit added for good measure. The recipe ends up making 10 strips, which should be enough to get you through the week. It’s a bit of a novelty, and a delicious way to get some vitamins and nutrients into your body. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9Jc3-NjnZc
Thank you for posting this! I have been practicing the paleo diet on and off for a few months and getting little cravings in between is hard because I know I can’t eat junk. This saves a lot of time and energy and I feel better knowing there are fun and easy paleo snacks to make without breaking your diet! Do you have any other ideas that may be easy and quick to make to save time and energy? Thanks :)
These apple chips are baked, not fried, so you’re already coming out on top compared to eating a bag of potato chips. Since you won’t be eating potatoes on Paleo it’s good to come up with a better alternative. These apple chips will have a sweetness to them, satisfying both your crunchy cravings as well as your sweet tooth. The best part is they only use two ingredients, apples and cinnamon, so there’s never any doubt as to whether these are healthy or not. Paleo isn’t very fruit centric, but you should be having at least one serving of fruit per day, and this can be it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5XTj6D8zfQ
Get real energy from natural sources with these coconut almond energy bars. Forget energy drinks or energy bars sold in stores. That’s all phoney baloney parlor tricks that make your heart race a little faster so you think you have more energy. But what happens later is you crash and have even less energy than when you started. These bars are filled with almonds and other wholesome foods, taste amazing, and give you that get up and go you need during the day.

Have tried many recipes and keep coming back to yours. Best one we’ve found. 🙂 thank you!! Today I added lemon peel and lemon juice (less water) along with lots of blueberries…..deeeelllliiish. Oh also…just in case anyone doesn’t have arrowroot or tapioca starch…whole root cassava works just as well. Have even added gelatin the past 2 times and they worked well. The do seem to brown quicker, and I’m not sure if it’s the cassava or gelatin causing this.. But I like them like that!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this paleo pancake recipe. My toddler’s diet had to be altered for health reasons and pancakes are one of her favourite breakfast items. I’ve been so stressed out trying to find recipes that she loves and this one is a keeper. She and I included absolutely love these pancakes! She’s at a picky toddler age… and I eat them because they’re so delicious! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-M3zfrwrcBI
Whole eggs and egg whites help the pancakes rise and set once cooked. A little bit of ghee (browned clarified butter) helps add tenderness to the batter. Baking soda and cream of tarter work together and chemical leavening agents help the pancakes rise as soon as it hits the hot pan. Honey is added for a hint of sweetness and encourages quicker browning on the surface.
These dogs are not actually hot dogs, but are Cajun spiced sausages. You wouldn’t want to eat hot dogs on Paleo because it’s not in line with the Paleo philosophy, even though it does seem to be a meat item. Paleo is about getting back to natural foods, which is why you want to make sure you choose high quality ingredients at all times. These mini dogs have plenty of cauliflower to make them a complete meal, but because of their smaller size they are best used as a snack. They provide a few different dipping options, which it’s always nice to have a choice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoaRNAfSns8

These are sirloin rolls have brussel sprouts and fennel as sidekicks, but the sirloin is going to get top billing as the star of the show. Making sirloin rolls can be tricky unless you know how to do it, and they’ve provided helpful instructions here so yours will come out looking just like theirs. They have bacon rolled up with the sirloin, so you’re going to get plenty of flavor, and it’s nice that they have matched all of this meat with Brussels sprouts, one of the healthiest vegetables around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IRx9zlEMOk

This recipe couldn’t be more perfectly named, as these Paleo pancakes are in fact magic. Simply plop the ingredients in a blender (may we never mash a banana again), cook, and top with all-natural raspberry syrup—which is as easy to make as the pancakes themselves. This flour-free recipe can yield somewhat flat pancakes, so we say add a dash of baking powder. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wuGt3dNB6g
Don’t let the green color fool you, these also taste good in addition to being good for you. They contain pistachios, pumpkin seeds, coconut, orange juice, and help seeds, so you know you’re getting plenty of flavor along with the nutritional features of each of these items. The green color comes from the use of spirulina, which adds even more nutrients to the mix. These are raw, so they require no baking which means you mush all of the ingredients together into bar form, let them chill, and they’re ready to eat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1U3ta-sH0Q

Best stuff ever. I swear. There’s so many different HEALTHY flavors of jerky and meat sticks and even ones for kids! I love their traditional beef jerky and I can’t stop eating the cilantro lime flavored sticks. The date and rosemary flavor is pretty freaking amazing as well. There’s so many options that there’s no way you won’t find something you can’t get enough of!

Following a Paleo diet can have really terrific benefits for some people. Abstaining from inflammatory grains, eating more protein and enjoying a variety of fruits and veggies can help you lose weight and feel good. But snacking while being Paleo can be confusing at first. When you go down the Paleo snacks road, gone are the go-to crackers and dip, popcorn and even peanut butter. You can always snack on produce, of course, but sometimes you want something that isn’t a handful of nuts or chopped vegetables. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gl05lHuUPus
This recipe is inspired by Indochina cuisine and features chilli chicken that gets marinated in a special blend of spices. The red chillies are going to give this a pretty good spiciness to this dish, so if you don’t like spicy foods you may want to pass on this one, or make adjustments to the peppers, using ones that aren’t as potent. It’s served on a bed of cauliflower rice to keep it Paleo friendly. You’ll find that cauliflower is a versatile way to make rice and couscous replacements, and it satisfies your vegetable requirement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Jh5J8BCUks
Hopefully everyone knows about these by now, but it’s worth throwing on the list because they come in so handy. They’re available practically everywhere now. From Whole Foods, Amazon, Thrive Market, Co-ops and Target, most of us know we love them! They’re made from all natural ingredients (like everything on this list!) and come in no less than a zillion flavors ;). Try blueberry muffin, cashew cookie, lemon or even mint chip brownie! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_CKXnn6dzI
A roulade is just a fancy French name for a rolled up food, and in this case they are rolling up a chicken with prosciutto and pesto. That means when you cut the chicken into slices, you’ll get a nice presentation because it will seem like the chicken has been stuffed with the prosciutto and pesto. Pesto is a great way to enhance any meal, and you can make a Paleo friendly version quite easily. They provide a pesto sauce recipe for you to follow. They have cauliflower used as a side dish so you’re getting not only your meat, but also your vegetables. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlKj2aWp0F4

You don’t have to subject yourself to the Orange Chicken made by a fast food place anymore, you can stay on the Paleo path and still have a delicious orange chicken when you get the notion. that’s because it gets its sweetness from honey, and its orange flavor from oranges, so nothing artificial goes into it. The use of ginger, chili sauce, and garlic means you’ll still be getting the classic taste, but this method gives you control over the quality of ingredients you’re using, especially the chicken, which you can use organic free range chicken.
Of course, Dad’s pancakes weren’t Paleo – especially after I slathered them with gooey syrup. And let’s face it – after a huge plate of wheat-flour pancakes drenched in syrup, there’s only one thing you want to do: take a nap. So when I set about making this recipe for Paleo pancakes, I was thrilled. All the memories of home, but with all the health benefits of my Paleo diet!

Everybody gets their own mini personal pizza when you cook up these squash pizzas. Each slice of squash becomes a tiny sized pizza that is loaded up with Paleo friendly toppings. It’s a great way to use up that butternut squash you bought, and simply requires that you top them up with items that you like. They’re recommending meats and veggies so you can keep it Paleo, and really as long as you stick with those two types of foods you’ll be doing just fine.
I always cook a tray of bacon in the oven while the pancakes are on the griddle, and then we make sandwiches with bacon and maple butter. The kids love them for school lunches or afternoon snacks! (Maple butter is just equal amounts of maple syrup and softened or melted butter, blended together until creamy, then put back in the fridge to firm up). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tog85hxZauU
