I realize that this is the silliest question and maybe it relates to the mushy question someone else had. I tried making these about a month ago and had an awful hard time flipping them without them either sticking to the turner or them breaking all apart on me. How can I get them to turn like those inflammatory pancakes that people make (very easy)?

These coconut flour pancakes cook up just like traditional pancakes, except they are missing one ingredient found in almost every single pancake recipe: all-purpose flour. All the taste that you’d expect is there, and on Paleo you can use pure maple syrup to make this taste incredible. Also, you are free to have bacon as a side, which helps to complete a most delicious start to the day, and keeps this right in line with something you’d get as a breakfast at a restaurant or diner.Get used to using coconut flour, as it will become your new best friend on Paleo.

5. Cassava Pizza Crust: Speaking of Italian comfort foods, you can still have pizza Fridays. This pizza crust is made of mashed cassava (also called yuca), which crisps up nicely (as our Caribbean friends who traditionally cook with yuca already know). Top it with your favorite veggies and nut cheese and you’re good to go. (via Predominantly Paleo)
These chips are made from butternut squash, but you won’t be able to tell by the way they taste. They bake up so crispy and crunchy you’d swear it was a potato chip if you didn’t know any better. They are using gingerbread seasoning on these, which is an interesting choice for a snack, and sure to give your taste buds a new experience. Compared to most snacks you’ll enjoy the fact that these rank pretty well in terms of the amount of carbs they contain, as well as the calories. Not that you’re counting any of that stuff on Paleo, it’s just nice to know.
Stack these bacon breakfast sandwiches nice and tall and you’ll have a formidable breakfast you’ll want to slow down for. The key is starting with a Paleo-approved bread and using thick cut bacon. Cutting the bacon nice and thick gives it a different quality than typical breakfast bacon and you’ll get more meaty flavor in each bite. Top the bacon with an egg, and add in some fresh spinach so you’re getting a serving of veggies too.
Remove the meat from the marinade and lay it out on your counter on top of some paper towels. The goal is to get it as dry as possible. Lay paper towel over top and pat it dry. Now’s the time to put it into your dehydrator or oven. You can thread the meat onto wooden skewers (near one end of each piece) and lay the skewers perpendicular to the oven wrack’s bars (use the top shelf). Make sure the meat hangs down. Place cooking sheets lined in foil beneath the meat to catch any drips.
Chicken parmesan is not something that you would typically be having on Paleo because it is coated in bread crumbs. But this chicken parm is coated with Parmesan cheese and almond flour, which replaces the bread crumbs. You’ll still get that classic crunchy outer covering on the chicken, and of course the Parmesan will be baked right onto the chicken, so it’s just a matter of getting the other ingredients right. For the tomato sauce they are using garlic, oregano, and olive oil, and you can top it off with basil leaves and optional mozzarella cheese.
The main ingredient in traditional pancakes is wheat flour. Since that’s a no-no on the Paleo diet, this recipe uses coconut flour. But you’ll notice that it’s only a little bit of coconut flour – two and a half teaspoons, to be exact – which, if you’ve ever made traditional pancakes will seem like a strangely small amount of flour. But here’s the secret… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHtriY7T7sw
So I’m not one to make my food in football shapes. Or use dye to color my food in my favorite teams colors. Probably because I don’t have a favorite team. But my home states team (the Broncos) are in the Superbowl this year so I’m obligated to act excited. I’d honestly rather just be moving into my new apartment and organizing crap than watching to game. But for social stigmas and reasons, I will be watching to game. Mainly so I can snack on food all day long and it’s not considered binge eating. Thanks, Superbowl.
These 100% grass-fed beef sticks were featured in Paleo Magazine’s Best of 2014 list, and not without a good reason. This low-carb snack boasts high levels of B vitamins, vitamins A and E, and CLA, which is known for its cancer- and stomach fat-fighting properties. They also come in four taste bud pleasing flavors: original, jalapeno, summer sausage, and garlic summer sausage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQcFQOXVBm8
These dogs are not actually hot dogs, but are Cajun spiced sausages. You wouldn’t want to eat hot dogs on Paleo because it’s not in line with the Paleo philosophy, even though it does seem to be a meat item. Paleo is about getting back to natural foods, which is why you want to make sure you choose high quality ingredients at all times. These mini dogs have plenty of cauliflower to make them a complete meal, but because of their smaller size they are best used as a snack. They provide a few different dipping options, which it’s always nice to have a choice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kd4dlNxaPwk
Salmon tastes great and it is one of the top recommended foods you can eat while following the Paleo diet. This is because it is loaded with plenty of omega 3’s, as well as healthy fats that your body needs to function at its best. In this recipe she has made things very simple, which only serves to bring out the natural flavor of the salmon. She has it topped with slices of lemon, and also capers are used for subtle flavoring. All that’s needed is a vegetable dish to go with it to make it just right so you don’t get the munchies late at night before bedtime.
I wanted to cook the rest of the batter, but didn’t really want to attend to the stove, so I experimented and threw a few in the oven on a buttered cookie sheet at 350. The batter ended up spreading into one thin megapancake, which was sad until I realized that I basically have crepe makings. I’m going to fill them with something delicious for tomorrow’s breakfast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jm16Jr1Qtp8
If you’re trying this eating approach, you’ll have to say goodbye not only to foods well known to be unhealthy — such as ice cream, potato chips, and soda — but also all grains (including whole grains), most dairy, legumes (beans), and starchy veggies, among other foods. The thinking goes that foods in these elimination groups are toxic to our bodies because of modern farming practices.
Hi I am back! I just thought I’d share this with you. I am pre-diabetic. This morning, I was intent on making your pancakes, and I did, shared with my sons. I did not check my blood sugar before, but I thought I’d check it around two hours after. (It’s been 2-1/2 hrs, I believe). I still am full (ate 6 of them pancakes topped with butter and real maple syrup). I expected to see around 110++ because of the bananas, nuts, and maple syrup. Guess what? 99!!! and I am still full. But I gotta keep trying to eat 3 meals a day. Maybe light lunch in another hour… :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn1DcZKU53A
Apples are one of the healthiest fruits you can have, and are something our ancestors would have eaten anytime they came upon an apple tree. Here they’re filled with tasty things like raisins, brandy, cinnamon, and nutmeg, all baked right inside a cored apple. This means that the flavor gets infused right into the apple, which softens up during the baking process. Giving up dessert is not necessary on Paleo, it’s simply a matter of changing your idea of what dessert has to be. You’re getting a healthy and satisfying dessert here with no added sugar.

Ideally, if you have a good Paleo breakfast and lunch, you’ll often find you don’t feel hungry and don’t need to snack. If you do find yourself hungry between meals, try eating more at meals (are you consuming enough satiating fat in your meals?). Also, check out the recipe book I've just written with loads of Paleo Breakfast recipes to inspire you.

If you like to start your day with granola, most other versions you see on store shelves will not be approved on the Paleo diet. You’ll need construct your own granola recipe using Paleo foods such as nuts, seeds, dried fruits, and spices like cinnamon, and pumpkin spice. This gives you the ability to customize the granola according to your own taste as well as make sure you are only using high quality ingredients. You’ll want to avoid eating it with yogurt as well, as that’s a dairy product. Try it with almond milk as a delicious and nutritious substitute that’s dairy free.
These cashew butter balls are made raw so you don’t have to bake them. They’re ready to eat after just an hour in the fridge. The good thing is that you can make many of them at once, and just eat them a bit at a time as you go through your week. Having snacks made ahead of time is really helpful when you’re trying to stick to any diet plan. These are so simple to make it’s just dates, cashews and cashew butter. Roll it into a ball and cool it off and they’re ready to nosh.
Quiche is usually fair game on the Paleo diet because it’s primarily made with eggs, and eggs are definitely a Paleo approved food. This particular quiche recipe includes plenty of delicious ingredients, and she’s topped it off with a zucchini hash crust so it’s crunchy on the top, and full of eggs and yummy vegetables on the bottom. All of the ingredients that are not Paleo in a traditional quiche have been removed and replaced with Paleo perfect items. Flax meal is used as an optional ingredient, and we’d suggest it since it adds beneficial omega-3s to the mix. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKV90Cs311I

Perhaps the best part of this Paleo fish taco recipe is that they show you how to make wraps or tortillas without using any all-purpose flour, so you can use these for all sorts of different recipes. In this particular recipe they are using mahi mahi that’s been coated in olive oil and then seasoned. They also serve them up with a tasty mango barbecue sauce that incorporates apple cider vinegar into it. There is also a cilantro mayo which is made from a Paleo friendly mayonnaise recipe, as well as coconut milk, chili powder, and cayenne.
Yes, I did it right. Only 3 ingredients. Are you like some people and just pass up plantains in the grocery store? I used to be like that. I didn’t even know what they were. They looked weird and terrible. I don’t think like that anymore since I’ve gotten to know them. You can either choose them when they are on the yellow side or the green color side. The only difference is that the yellow ones are riper and therefore sweeter. The green ones are less ripe and won’t taste as sweet. That choice is just up to your preference. The yellow ones are a little harder to work with because they are more sticky. I do recommend green but you should experiment and have fun. Don’t worry about the skin being brown and a little bruised. The skin on plantains is really thick so the fruit is more protected than with a banana. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urGzfAW70PY
I’ve been doing paleo on and off for the last couple of years, and since the new year I have been back at it. I work in a breakfast diner and am serving pancakes ALL day, they always smell SO good, so tonight for dinner I decided to make a batch of paleo cakes, how different could they really be? Well, I found out they were great! Hit the spot and craving perfectly! I will definitely be making these again! Even my boyfriend d and step son ate them! Not to mention, with some patients they cook up perfectly! Thank u for this recipe!

You might think that the best part of these brownies is that you don’t have to bake them, but the real wow factor is that they combine two of the most popular desserts into one. You’re getting chocolate chip cookies and brownies in one package, and they’re layered on top of each other, so your taste buds get the flavor from each one. There are actually three layers to this, one that is mostly brownie, one that is mostly chocolate chip, and a middle layer that is a sort of hybrid of the two. Have this with some Paleo ice cream to really send yourself to the limits of deliciousness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxF2u_3URxs

This recipe is a little nutty—literally. It uses almond flour as its main dry ingredient and is mixed with almond milk too. If the batter is watery at first, simply add more flour, and feel free to change things up and use hazelnut flour instead. These Paleo pancakes are on the heartier side, especially if you add some tapioca powder, which will help avoid any breakage.

Finally! I’m sharing a recipe for the fluffiest paleo pancakes! I have been working on perfecting paleo pancakes for what seems like forever now. I wanted my recipe to call for as few ingredients as possible AND still taste like real pancakes. A pretty tough task when you’re trying to make pancakes that are both grain-free and dairy-free. This recipe for simple paleo pancakes makes seven small, fluffy and filling pancakes – enough to feed 2-3 hungry people! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pWQEEzXRhM
If you want to get your chocolate craving satisfied with your snack time, these energy balls are the way to go. What we’re typically looking for when deciding on a snack is whether it will provide the fuel to get you to your next meal. With these you’ll be able to cruise to your next meal, and you won’t get those groggy or foggy times when you just want to eat and you can’t focus. You also won’t get that panicky feeling that occurs when you don’t know what your next meal is going to be. Have these energy balls and then you’ll be able to focus long enough to plan your next meal or take care of important work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQDpobq7jYY&t=91s
